    No More Spanx

I love how they hold the jiggle too. But in texas when the weather gets hot, they make my butt sweat!! I know tmi but I cannot wait to dump them too!!
  2. Thank you for answering me, friends. I have calmed down a bit, mainly thanks to the idea of bone broths. Yes! I can make bone broths and I can stomach that - and it’s fluid. So that’s my plan. I am so so grateful to you. Yes also to yoghurts and I’m 3 weeks in so broth and yoghurt. Last night I took a bit of the outside of my husband’s pizza and chewed it and chewed it and then just spat it out. (Sorry for TMI). I felt a bit better as well.. maybe just the comforting taste after nothing but water and bile for two weeks. So now I’m feeling a bit better. I have a review with the surgeon in a few weeks and I’m going to have a few things to say. Firstly, that it’s not good enough after paying thousands for aftercare that I can’t even get a phone call when I need one. And two, it’s not good enough for me to have been taken off the antidepressants without consultation or help. Thank you for giving me the support. I am so grateful.

    TMI? No such thing.

I'm a grouchy kind of fellow. I honestly believe that half of the reason for that is I just cannot keep regular. I eat well, a fair amount of Fiber and supplement with Benefiber; but honestly only 1 in 5 BM's are the type that are satisfying. You know the type, where you leave the stall with a smirk and know that you have bested the commode instead shaking your head saying that next time will be different. Lately, my relationship with the john has been one of menace. I step into the stall and immediately cop an attitude with the shitter: But more often than not, I leave like this: You know, head hung low in shame. I'm happy to report that today, I have bested that porcelain SOB. Now I can't wait to go to the gym and weigh in for the week!

    March 2014 Losers

Today marks 2 weeks exactly for me!!! I am down 20 lbs, I get to take a bath finally and....I finally had a normal BM (tmi I know but I was thrilled lol) we got this Marchers!!
  6. Hi everyone! I was banded on 10-01-10. I have felt pretty good, other than the normal pain that goes along with surgery. No nausea, vomitting, indigestion...thank goodness. Ok, so for the TMI part, no BM as of yet...normal? I got on the scale(couldn't help it) and was up 3 lbs from day of surgery..normal? Water, shakes and broth all go down fine, although I'm pretty conservative. Thought about walking on treadmill today but not sure I can get my tennis shoes on, bending is a bear! Just curious how everyone else did at this stage. Thanks
  7. I am on pre op day 4. The first two days I did great; however, yesterday, I almost passed out. I think it is because my cycle is going to start (it did last night, sorry TMI) and plus only Protein shake and a lean cuisine for dinner. I did ate some almonds and added more veggie (lettuce) to my food. I feel a little better after that. Today, I feel ok but my stomuch os growling all day long. I am going to call my doctor and see if I can drink gaterade due to potassium loos while having cycle. I hope what I did yesterday did not prevent me from having a band.
  8. I am having the hardest time with protein. I had some stomach issues with protein before my VSG, but now it happens every time. I drink my protein shake and before I am even half way done, I am in the bathroom with severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. I’ve tried three different brands now and it’s all the same. I’ve even tried the powdered with lactose free milk. Any suggestions? Age: 37 Height: 5’6 BMI: 37 VSG: 4/16/18 GW: 160 MFP: Fit4LifeAR
  9. okey dokey. This is for Monday Oct 18. Caution this may be a TMI kind of a post. Good news: I'm down another couple of pounds. Bad news: I had to have a root canal this week and it has been painful. I was given some vicodin which I have taken. I think the vicodin has slowed my digestive process. Time will tell. Great news: I'm gonna see Kathy Griffin tonight with my sweetie! I hardly eat. I think my little doggie is eating more than I do. I am not doing so well on the Fluid either. A couple of sips and I just don't want any more. I gotta force them down because there are too many bad things that could happen with too little fluid. I hope all of you are doing well. Can't wait to hear from you.

    biggest insult ever-sex related-from dh

I'm gonna have to agree with what just about everyone else has said. Your hubby was being more than a little bit of an ass. Seems to me like he's trying to drive you away, maybe because he doesn't have the balls to end the relationship himself. No offense meant, but it was clearly warned in the title that the thread was sex related. If you couldn't handle the very real possibility of some details that you think are TMI, you shouldn't have come in.

    "Personal" NSV! TMI!

So I am literally giggling to myself while typing this up, but I couldn't help it. I had to share this. So I've always like to be clean shaven "down there", but it was always a struggle to reach cause of my big tummy and ended up being a LONG process. Last night I decided to give it a whirl and about 3 minutes later I was done! Woo hoo!!! I was so excited that it was so easy! Hahaha no more hairy scary monster!!!
  12. My period last month after surgery seemed normal. But this month, second month out I have been spotting for a week now and it has yet to kick in and its getting really really annoying..... I am guessing its due to weight loss and my body adjusting to things but was wondering if anyone else had similar issues? Thanks and sorry for the TMI was not sure where else to ask....
  13. Great write up, glad everything worked out well. I did mention the walk alot and drink alot, figured it had not changed.. BAsed on this, I'll definately consider Mexico when I get my plastics done ( I can already see I will need them). Now the hard part starts, keep drinking as much as you can and DO NOT push past your schedule for food types. You will pay for it and your primary care giver is not near by so dont take any chances. If you have blood in teh stool, if its black, keep an eye on it but it should clear. If its red, get to the hospital.. TMI, but you need to know these things.. Luck, Craig
  14. Oh I forgot one! I guess it may be TMI for some, but after reading all the threds about irregular/ disappearing/never ending periods, I was so surprised to get one on time. Immidiately there was a new surprise: it sucks not being able to take ibuprofen.

    No Shrimp??

I had shrimp today.. TMI ahead? When I was first banded I tried just chewing well... I took a piece of "chewed shrimp" out of my mouth.. it was "strung together".. but well chewed. I do make sure that I not only chew well, but separate the tiny pieces (with my tongue) from the "stringy" fibers that tends to keep them "attached". Good luck.

    1/6/10 Hysterical

I just had to share…I’m an idiot…OK, you knew that. For those that read yesterday’s blog, a quick update. I was trying on some pants and decided to see how my new body shaper worked under my new too snug size 12 pants (see pics, helps the muffin-top, but I can't tell the difference on the thighs...sigh). So I’m doing my aerobics and working up my usual sweat getting the shaper on…a tug here, a jump there…my crotch is still hanging low, so I go to tug it up… GUESS WHAT?!!! My finger happens to find a hole in the freakin’ crotch!!! I’m serious!!! I’m still in hysterics laughing. OK, I’m not sure how you would manage this hole in the bathroom, or whether they intended it for that use. I looked online, as their tags on it don’t mention this, but online it says a ‘split crotch’…no details on it‘s purpose (I‘m sure they‘re not going to make any promises on use for liability/embarrassment reasons). OK, it’s really not a hole as much as it is two pieces of overlapping fabric…and they overlap more than 2”…you know me, I’m a tester… Yes, I did…well….not really. I got so far as to take off my panties (which raises the question…are you still supposed to wear your panties under these contraptions?) and put the d*rn shaper back on and I sat on the pot. I could use my fingers to get the hole to be pretty big, but not big enough for me to even…ehemmm…risk trying. *Warning TMI (OK, I‘m a little late with that one, sorry)* I’m a ‘dribbler’…after that bladder sling surgery it takes me FOREVER to pee…and after I started the Vesicare pills it now takes an act of God, some serious meditation and prayer, and at least 10 min. So not only would I have to start doing aerobic workouts with my fingers daily to work up to the point where I could sit there for 15 minutes holding this open with them, but I’d have to pee so badly that I’d have a ‘normal stream’. So here’s what I need for my ‘study’….I need a 20 year old, who hasn’t had any children to give this a try and report back to us (I‘m sure I would have figured out a way to do this when I was in my 20‘s…and out to the bars drinking). In fact I’m sure one of you reading my blog had done this, but prefers to remain anonymous…feel free to PM me and share your experience/technique (I can then post for you anonymously). You know me though…if it’s stupid, I’ll be doing it at least once…let‘s just hope it‘s not like my ‘Horrific PB Event‘ when I‘m out to dinner (and decided I could PB between my legs while sitting on the pot)…I know, you‘re all placing your big money bets now…especially after you have that ’Ah-Ha’ moment when you remember I said ’I’m only going to wear the shaper for special events.’

  19. Hi everyone. I'm still in the hospital and will be discharged tomorrow. Looking back at some of posts when I first got here....I can't believe the misspellings, etc! I blame it on the drugs I was given ???? The plan is to make sure I can tolerate taking medication orally rather than by IV. I feel so much better now. Although I wish I could go #2 (sorry if TMI). I'm not in pain with constipation but I would like to go. I am not weighing myself yet. I'm going to weigh myself when I see the surgical team for my first post-op appt on 9/3

    TODAY IS THE BIG DAY[emoji3][emoji3]

Yes surgery went well. My crazy coworkers stopped by for a visit before the went home. My surgery wasn't done until 4:45 on Friday. My coworkers had to find my sister. They were supposed to text her. When they woke me I asked where she was. The found here. Of course I wouldn't let her leave until 1 am. I'm such a big baby. Lol. She texted my Big sis. Everything was all good until I couldn't pee. SMH. The second time that I tried pee, my wonderful nurse said should walk to the bathroom. I made a deal that I'll walk the next time. Deal agreed and I've be walking every since. Toradol and the pca were my best friends. Lol. I didn't have any of the gas. Thank goodness. My other wonderful nurse said it helped I didn't lay on my back all the time. I laid on my side more. I was sent home Saturday night. Only problem I was have was my thighs were so sore. I had to pick my legs with help. Sunday was horrible. I took a shower. It wiped me out. The meds were probably steal in my system. I slept most of the day. My sister kept on me about my liquids. I still can only drink two ounces of liquids. Every day gets better. Now if only I could done #2. TMI. WAITING for sister to bring me something MsShortyDee

Where did the shopping list go?

Yep, I believe that was the purpose, it gave you a little added extension. I was constipated (I know, I know...TMI) for 3 weeks after my surgery so I never needed them.

    Getting sleeved on 5/03/18

It's going ok, I haven't taken any of the pain medication, I'm sure that would have helped but pain hasn't been that bad really. Once in a while I get a throbbing from my stomach that lasts about 5 - 10 seconds and it hurts pretty good at that point but doesn't last long. Sorry if this is TMI but I have not had a bowel movement yet, probably not totally uncommon seeing as how I only drink protein and water right now, this is also one of the reasons I didn't take pain meds because I'm trying to avoid any constipation. I have to take the shots in my stomach for 8 more days but they aren't that bad, small needles. So far so good just been sore and was pretty tired the first day out.
  23. Oh, God it's been a horrid month... First, my mother has some kind of colon infection that causes ulcers (Colitus (sp)). We find out because a few weeks ago she decides to pass out and vomit all over her bedroom (she lives with DH & I, she has severe osteo-arthritus). Anyway, I call the ambulance and her BP is 40/20...she almost DIES in the emergency room (she became septic). After 3 days in ICU she finally recovers, is in the hospital about 10days and now is home resting and recovering. I'm thrilled she's alive, too bad nobody can enjoy her recovery. Her back is very bad with bulging disks etc. about once every 3 years she has injections in her back that helps her deal with the pain. She is VERY overdue for them but missed her last appt because she was in the hospital. We've rescheduled but it's basically been me playing caregiver because she can hardly get out of bed. Not being mean here, I love my mother but it's taking it's toll on me, mainly because I'm having an issue myself...(TMI Incoming) For the last month I've had one HUGE, HORRIBLE period...just out of the blue. I'll slow down for a day or two then BAM heavy bleeding, clots etc. I'm really worried...but, everytime I make an appt to see my doctor something happens and I have to be home with my mother. I'm about ready to scream..... I feel sick and miserable ALL THE TIME. I've NEVER had periods like this, EVER. My emotions are all screwed up and my body is SCREAMING for all this to stop. My mother finally has her appt on Tuesday, and maybe just MAYBE I can find out what the hell is my problem on Wednesday. Sorry guys, just venting but I feel like I'm going to EXPLODE from all this. I'm so miserable and depressed....on top of that we've pretty much burned through all our savings (I've been out of work) and now that I'm so close to surgery time, I don't want to return to work because I'll just have to take off in another month or so for surgery stuff. (besides my mother is a FULL TIME JOB) So, in addition to everything, money is getting tighter by the minute. AHHHHHHHHH *CRY*
  24. I'm sorry if this is TMI. I have had very loose stools the whole time. At first it was blamed on the swallow test drink. Then it was blamed on the liquid diet. But it persisted through purée and now that I'm on solids it's still happening twice or three times a day. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I'm actually getting less than 10 grams of Fiber a day. I'm afraid to have more because it might make it even worse. It's embarrassing as hell in public bathrooms. This has really been my only unpleasant symptom. I have only been on solids for two days. Is there hope that this will stop? Should I be worried? I am not a worrier by default and so far I have just toughed it out. But come on. I envy those who have the other problem. At least you can just take something for that.
  25. MRhynard11

So you can get fat again?

I get dumping syndrome if I eat something too surgery. That's not to say though that I haven't had a treat every now and then. For example, if my family goes out for ice cream, I may share a scoop of vanilla with my son- share being the operative word. I found out the hard way that more than 3 spoonfuls of ice cream will get me sick. Sorry about the tmi you're about to read, but I suddenly get dizzy, sweaty, and feel like I have diarrhea and need to vomit. I literally almost fell on the floor waiting in line for a bathroom at a busy mall because I ate a little too much ice cream and feeling this way came out of no-where. I'm actually glad that I feel so bad- it keeps me in check. You'll learn your limits too. Probably the hard way like me lol. Try watermelon- it's sweet and mostly Water. It satisfies a sweet craving without making you sick.
