OMG! I HAVE SO SCREWED UP!
RedCardinal replied to Jessica9190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I concur with this. While I think addressing this via e-mail is a good approach (it avoids all that personal awkwardness) the proposed e-mail was just TMI. I don't know if it's necessary to remind him it's against company rules to spread the information (although it is). That's for you to determine based on the people and circumstances. -
Lisa so glad you are doing well. I am doing pretty good too. Nothing major going on. Pain very manageable. Just trying to get liquids in and get the 2 ounce meals in (full liquid). Even started back on some vitamins yesterday. Passing gas a lot, need to poo though (TMI)

My jeans have only 2 buttons...

Just thought of something, you know what amazes me. The size of my underware, I wear panties now that would not even have covered my boob let alone my butt cheek. I know TMi but my hubby says, when did Hannah leave her panties at the house and I just smile and say sily those are mine. -

Heather. I'm so glad you mentioned this, I was getting concerned. I am too getting nauseous all the time. I have not vomited since surgery...but I do have diarrhea a lot (sorry TMI!) and sick to my stomach. My pouch is a picky little thing, I can't pin point what does it, only one I know for sure if sf pudding. I hope it passes soon...for all of us that have this problem. -
I LOVE TO POOP!
elektrik_rose replied to mezanne1401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is it common not to poo after surgery. This may be TMI, but I go almost every time I use the restroom. I will be sleeved on December 12th. -
Maybe a little TMI, but I finally realized that my miserable fullness was because I had to go potty and couldn't. Got some laxatives and I already feel so much better! Whew! I was getting a little nervous about feeling so icky!

breast options after weight loss
Velena replied to NurseMom's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm wondering what's going to happen to the girls too. I'm half way to my goal and I am still the same cup size but it's more loose skin than firm breast. Sorry it that's TMI. Are there exercises I can do for this? I'm about to go buy new bras that cover the girls more because it's hard to keep them where they belong because they are so loose now. (Sorry to the guys out there), Maybe a boobie tuck is in my future? -
I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
KristiP replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
TMI WARNING!!: Yeah I haven't seen my hooey (borrowed that nickname from Scrubs ) without mirror assistance for a loooong time. hope to lose a lt of fat from that area - sorry, but honestly, when I'm just in underwear and looking in the mirror it looks like I've got a Cornish game hen in my underpants! It's embarrassing to look like I've got more junk than my husband! I wear "shape wear" to flatten it out, and any other areas that benefit are just bonus. I mean you know you've got a problem when you have a camel toe while wearing a skirt! (ok, just exaggerating on that one but still......) I hate probably 98% of my body - abdominal rolls, side rolls, back rolls, neck rolls, gigantic double chin, sagging belly apron, huge arms, back boobs, under arm boobs, fat and flabby thighs, huge calves....the list is almost endless, but my, uh.....well, my crotch is my biggest issue, the part of me I hate the most. I refuse to go to the gyno simply because of it. I'm too mortified, and I don't care what anyone says about how they see it all. See my surgeon on Monday to discuss my surgery on 7 Jan. Woohoo! Can't wait to get my stomach 85% removed! -

Getting sick constantly....some TMI
Eva Chavez posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I had open RNY on 8/12 and it has been a rough road since the start but now I am wondering if there is indeed something actually wrong. I really can not eat anything without vomiting...sorry I don't like that word but it is what it is. I can drink Water and my Protein shakes fine but any type of food seems to make me ill and comes back up. I had some cottage cheese about 2 1/2 hours ago and just now I was sitting and watching tv and unexpectedly and without warning it came back up. I didn't even have that achy my pouch is too full feeling. As I ran to the restroom to let it do its thing I noticed in the toilet the shake i drank 6 hours ago was also mixed in. I am wondering how something I drank 6 hours ago could possibly be still in my pouch. Also just when I thought it was over I started projectile vomiting water...never done that yet. So I suppose my question is has anyone had this happen? Also any advice is greatly appreciated. -
8 Days Out And Finally Starting To Feel Somewhat Normal
KK66 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Still very tired at times, but overall, feeling a drastic improvement from earlier this week. I found some new soups to jazz up the dietary repertoire and it;s helped (Trader Joes Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper soup and Miso soup). Weight has dropped 16 lbs since my first post op day. (had gained 10 lbs in fluid immediately post op). Total weight loss since beginning this journey around 18 lbs. I still find myself napping (which I never do except when sick), but I guess my body needs the sleep. Sleeping very well at night Lower plumbing back in working order. One per day (TMI--sorry!) but happy for the results. I return to work on the 17th and I have my annual holiday party here at my house next Saturday My BF has been amazingly supportive and helpful and thank God for friends who will help with the party planning. How is everyone else doing? -

Can A Lap Ban Just Tighten On Its Own, Even With Weight Loss?
Alikat1 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi there, I posted recently in regards to my struggles with food going and staying down. This is after 5 years of banding. I am living in the UK and initially went from 23 st (14lbs to a stone -work it out, because it is too much brain power for me right now to!). And went to 15st5. Then my fibromyalgia took over, and the need to eat food that would go down and stay down with my meds ended up putting me back up to 17st3lbs...due to surviving on the 2 things that would go down...chocolate and biscuits. January 15th I started low carbing. I have had my treats along the way, but have gone from the 17st3lbs to 12st11lbs (as of today). But I seem to have some days and indeed weeks in struggling with food to go down and stay down. Some days it does, no problem, but other days (and days and days) even a spoonful of yogurt can cause a problem for me. Somebody mentioned elsewhere that sometimes out of the blue a band can tighten - is this the case? I thought that as I lost weight it is supposed to loosen. As mentioned on my other post, money is very tight here, and there is no way that I will be able to get seen to privately anymore, which means reliance on the NHS. I was told it could be 6 months before I am seen by a specialist. The other day, I PB'd, and then vomitted...and really vomitted, and TMI here...but it was blackish. And I was wondering if it was some food that had been stuch for a very long time. Since then, I was able to eat my dinner the next night (yesterday) and am in fact voracious at the moment. Any light you can shed on this would be most appreciated, as it looks like getting any medical assistance is going to take a very very long time. The highligh though is I still seem to be losing weight! hurray! But eating Protein on low carb with a band I find I am struggling with as a lot of the time meats just won't go down easily. Thank you in advance for any thoughts. A. -
Hey Ladies, So I have had PCOS for about 10 years... I haven't had a period in about that long..the only time i would get one is when my dr would have me take progesterone to force on on. But it wasn't a regular one on my own. I am a little over 2 1/2 months out and Monday I got my first real period on my own... this probably explains the sever moodiness the past few weeks that I couldn't figure out before. The last time I dealt with this was long I forgot what it was like. My only problem and question is how horribly bad it is! I know this is going to be TMI so i apologize ahead of time. I have to change my tampon less than once an hour.. and I"m using the strongest they come in.. I am even extra protecting and wearing a pad.. and am thankful cause its that bad. My boobs had been so sore to the touch the past week that even wearing a bra was uncomfortable. That has now passed. I am having such bad cramps and can't do anything becuase I don't want to be too far from home or the bathroom... My question is I know this is becuase of the PCOS and my body adjusting to being normal again. Does it get any better after a few cycles? I can't even remember what my periods were like when I use to get them, I know they were not this bad.. I called my Dr and they said there isn't anything they can do for me..I'm just so weak and worried about losing too much blood. Any advice from fellow PCOS er's or non that have eperienced this would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a lost.. my husband obviously can't understand and I feel bad that I have banned him from our bathroom and he has to use the guest one for now. LoL.

I'm 5 days post op... still pretty sore... but moving pretty well. I think my biggest problem is I overdo it when I'm up and pay for it later... anyway, I have a couple of concerns... I still haven't taken a poo... sorry if this is TMI.... and I've barely passed gas the last few days. I'm so uncomfortably bloated I can barely stand it... and to top it off... the scale hasn't budged a bit... actually I've gone up 3 lbs... I'm starting to freak out and I feel like it didn't work. I know I need to be patient and let my body heal but I'm frustrated and scared that I've gone through all of this for nothing....... -

1 Week Post-Op And Think I'm Dehydrated
3girlsmama replied to 3girlsmama's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I have been trying defferent temps. also. I find that warm does seem to go down easier. I know I read that it would be difficult to get all the fluids in, but I had no idea it would be this hard. Today, I have been sipping on a protein shake a little at a time just as I walk by the fridge, and sipping water in between, but I still haven't gotten a whole 20 oz. bottle of water down yet. Plus, I had around 4-5 oz. of cream of chicken soup. I go Wed. to get my staples removed, so I will talk to the dr. then about all my concerns. I'm also a little worried that I haven't (sorry tmi) had a bowel movement in several days. Is it because I haven't eaten anything "solid"? And a question.....would potato soup or pureed veggie soup count on the full liquid diet or is that considered soft foods? I feel like I am having to re-learn everything I ever thought I knew about food! -
How Did You Decide You Were Through Being Fat
☠carolinagirl☠ replied to Mayasgram's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
well i was out of the (fat) category and into the morbid obese terms and soon to super obese...i couldnt hardly walk...was getting harder to take care of myself personally as my arms couldnt reach around my girth (sorry TMI) and i was in size 30 clothes and very concerned if they made them (bigger) and where to buy them... but the turning point was my granddaughter just born. i wanted to be able to push her around the block in a stroller. that is my motivation. my eryn. hope this is a good response to your post maya as its from my heart and 100% accurate. -

Finally got to take a shower a little while ago. Removed the 2 bandages but not steri strips. Didn't poop the day before surgery and did so this morning. Took a lot of pressure off. Sorry if this is TMI. Upper abdomen is still very swollen and full of air but I have been walking my tail off. Incisions are very sore but I have to say all things considered, I am doing pretty well. The hardest thing for me is getting in and out of the recliner.

Audrey Redman replied to JerseyShoreDisneyDiva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ya. I an drinking liquids but since the gas pains I'm having it feels like I am swallowing big bulls when its just sips. I get a horrible pain my shoulder...but I think it just all leads back to the gas bubble. I'm having problems with hunger too...I'm not hungry but I feel like I should be eating something...drinking something I guess lol. ya I can't shower til Sunday and I will just have my mom take my bandages off. to make matters worse this might be tmi but I am on my period too so instead of tampons. I just resorted to page. my nurses were worried that u bled a lot but I told them no worries...just mother nature lmao. just keep walking around and start doing things urself. its a better healing time add faster too. best of luck to u! -
