Hey! I'm feeling pretty good. I'm on my 10 day work stretch so i betta be ready! I'm excited now that i can start loosing some weight! My new goal is 30 lbs down by feb 20 cause i have a wedding to be in so u know im on a tare now! U doing ok?

My doctor put me on a 10 day liquid fast because I have a dilated esophagus (because I'm a food addict) and I'm realizing that food is my life. I have a ton of hobbies that I love to do, but food is what I look forward to. How in the hell do I get out of this cycle?

Hi I am new to this site and I am new to lap band. I was banded on 12/01. I am still on the mushy diet. But I cheated today and then had an emotional cry over it. I know i am addicted to food. I know the band is there and working I didn't over eat I just ate some things not allowed on the mushy diet (like potato chips and dip!) and I feel really guilty about it. Now I am worried I have done something to the band or messed something up....I don't know. I am so frustrated right now. I really appreciate your post, it is very inspirational to me. Do you have any other words of advice for this "wagon teeter"?

I didn't get a date yet i stil have to get my testing done and they are on 1/19 my next day off i have to build my pto back up again the DR said i had lose some weight before i could get the surgery done so it would be saft for me i am now 320 wow i finally said it and since than i have been in a very blue mood and it is also some personal thing going but that explans the one pint of haagan-dazs ice i just ate before dinner but ill get it togeether thanks for bday shot and keep on keeping on

hello Scott, how are you? I'm doing good.I get my first fill on 10 21-08.I have a lot of energy now.I've been banded since 9-15-08 and have lost 35 lbs. so far.it;s going to be a long journey.I wish you all the luck and keep up the good work.

hi anjie, nice to meet you. like your pink flower pic! i got my band on 6/10/08 and have lost 37.5 lbs (including pre-op weight loss). slow going really but at least the scale is going down! pretty used to the band by now and haven't had much trouble with it at all! hope you are well!

Yes! I know I am down to 19 more days...I have lost 8lbs, it has not been easy though. I am taking it one meal at a time!

Hi, I got my surgery 10/23/07 but I started out at a size 22 and I'm down to a size 10. I weight now 153 lbs and I can't wait to get to 125 lbs. Keep up the great work!

i was banded on 10-31-08 i did 5 days of liquid then my dr.told me to introduce ground up food.tuna eggs,applesauce chicken any thing that i could puree

I'm turning 50 in August, married 25 years in September and have a 19 yo daughter and 14 yo son. Have tried loosing weight three previous time (Jenny Craig, Hypnosis and finally a medically supervised program at Camino Medical Group. In each case lost about 55 pounds and then eventually grain it all back. Hoping this will finally the thing that will stop me from regaining after I lose!

OMG... we got our band exactly one year apart. banded 11/10/09, i have only lost 75-77lbs

I was banded on 2/19 and the first week and a half after the surgery I lost around 10 pounds, but after all the swelling was gone I'm back to almost the way I was before and I'm getting hungry like crazy. Sometimes I eat things I know I should not eat and I'm not losing any weight, I'm scheduled for my first fill in about a month from now. Will it change after the fill? Will I lose weight? I'm very discouraged right now.

I am in Sierra Vista now - we love it here. Pat is retired and I was in for 10 years - with my second kid I decided that the travel was too much. DM is ok - but it gets too hot in the summer Ft Huachuca is much cooler and less crowded!

hey sista, Im doing good, lost 10 more pounds, 45 since starting the whole journey, yeah Im like you Im feeling great! I have had one fill but I think Im ready for another one... hope i lose ten pounds a fill that would be awesome !!

You just need to rest up and heal right now. I'm 6 weeks out and have only lost 10 lbs. this is the healing process time. Some people don't even lose weight in this time. Praying for you. ttyl.

I have 5.7cc in a 10 cc band. 70 pounds is awesome!!! congrats on your success. I excercize alot and try and stay away from carbs. I am almost to goal weight and it is getting so much harder now. Good luck and you look terrific!

Well here it is 10 days post op and I am feeling great. I was unable to contact anyone prior to this since my internet service was out for almost 2 weeks. We are back to normal now.

I do not feel surgery was bad at all. I had no gas pains as most talk about just had a very sore tummy, like I did about 400 sit-ups. I was not hungry until about 3 days ago and I am now starting on soft foods. I see my surgeon on Tuesday and it will be back to work for me the following Monday. I had lost 21 lbs pre op, on that liquid diet and I will be anxious to see how much more I lost since surgery on 3/25/09. Keep in touch- Lighterload

Is your surgery stilled planned for next week? I am 10 days post Op and I have to tell you, it was not that bad at all. I was vomiting for two days post op but its been all up hill since. Lost 21 lbs pre surgery on that 21 day liquid diet. I see my surgeon on Tuesday so I am anxious to see how much more I have lost. keep in touch- Lighterload

Congrats on your surgery!!! I was banded on March 10, 2009. I would be glad to offer any help or just chat if you want. Way to go!!!!
