Today the UPS guy left a package at my door. As I went out to get it, I yelled a thank you to him as he walked down my driveway. He stopped and asked "Are you the lady that has lived here for years now?' Yes I am. To which he totally freaked out "WOW you look so different I didn't even recognize you I had to ask I thought I left the package at the wrong house. Whatever you did congrats" After thanking him, I walked back in the house laughing. I'm now used to people I know commenting on my appearance, but I never expected it from the UPS guy, a relative stranger. What a surprising NSV.

I am not losing weight. I had surgery 1/26 at 265. As of 4/15, I am 248. I feel so depressed and I am SO disappointed. Yes. I am having NSVs. But I am also still really fat and this tool doesn't seem to be working. When I go back to my surgeon, I am considering revision to bypass. Please any advice is welcome. I feel miserable.

I just donated over half of my clothes which no longer fit me. At the top of my closet were a few straggler pants etc. I took them out today and found a brand new pair of Lands End shorts. I have not worn shorts in about 7 years. I put them on and not only did they fit and a little loose but I didn't look totally horrid in them. I am so happy to be back in shorts even if I don't look like JLo.

As embarrassing as this is to admit I have to say the biggest NSV for me thus far is not having bathroom complications anymore. It is so much easier to get in and get out now.

Awesome! An ex small? I can't imagine. I've tried to figure out what NSV means??? -
I found a cute white denim skirt and tried on the size small. It was too big. maybe it was mis-sized, but I'm taking it as an NSV anyway. A year ago I could not have squeezed into it at all.

Good job! I paid $50 for a Nike jacket a couple months ago because it was the first time I had ever fit into an extra small. I was also not thrilled with the price, but when you have great NSV's like you posted about, it's ok to splurge a little!

Attention scale users! A new challenge.
Kindle replied to Kindle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Being 16 months out, I thought it might be tough to come up with an NSV every week. Thought I might have to document some of my older ones. But last night I had one after all. Went to a friends house and after dinner his son wanted some batting practice. So my friend pitched and I played outfield....THE WHOLE OUTFIELD! Running back and forth catching fly balls and scooping up grounders. No problem...Agile as a cat! -
@@clasnic1 Sounds like your levels are right where they should be for a person who is not diabetic and really good for someone who is a diabetic. If you're no longer on any medication and you're maintaining in the 80-120 range, that's an NSV for sure!

Miss Mac replied to Stephanie Salsera Perrott's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Stephanie, you sure do have a lot of hampsters running around in your brain! I was going to say exactly what AvaFern just said. What if you go up to the search box and type in NSV? You will find posts on all of the amazing changes that others have experienced only because they went through with their surgeries. You will start noticing pleasant differences about the time you lose the first 30 pounds. -
