  1. My procedure was December 10, 2019. my highest weight was 245. when I went to the doctor for evaluation it was 230. Day before surgery it is 220. one week after my surgery I'd lost 5 pounds. 215. I was a little disappointed but I'm sure it will come.

I experienced a great deal of nausea from the anesthesia. the kept me in the hospital and extra day.  Upon my release I started to feel better. I must say that the surgery itself doesn't hurt. What does hurt is where they removed the stomach.  But I'm on my way to healing.  My surgery was on a Tuesday and I was back at work on that Monday. I have a sit down job but movement was precise.

Today is Wednesday 12/18/19 and I'm feeling well. I am able to get in both my protein shakes. I just sip all day. usually by days end I've finished it and start on water.  I never got the full feeling that most people have . but I do take it slow for fear of over doing it.

I hope you surgery goes well and as of right now I have no regrets. we have to remember that this is something we will have to do the rest of our lives. watching what we eat when and how much.

  2. A place for us to share progress, or lack of progress, and frustrations and joys.... and any advice to get through these holidays and all of the temptations.
  3. Hey all! I was wondering how all my October 2019 people are doing? I'm ok. I pinched a nerve in my neck, so I can't go hard on the exercise, like I'm dying to do, but I'm down 40 lbs since my October 28th surgery, so hey, I'm happy. I've almost lost 100 lbs since I started dieting on my own in July (less than 10 lbs to go). I'm a different person and it's amazing.

    July 2019 sleevers

Well is anyone else having a struggle with the 4-month stall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Holidays, and I have my husband's 70th birthday party with raspberry cheesecake? I will be lucky to hit a 5-pound loss this month as I lost that before the stall and holidays started to happen. Just venting, I am grateful for all that I have lost, the labs were done this month and were good overall. I will be happy when this month of eating is done. Neighborhood party tomorrow so I will get my protein in before I go and take my own water. I thought drinking during the holidays might be hard, but the wine tastes bad now. I will get through this and next month I'll be camping and walking the beach. My peaceful place. Merry Christmas to all, and happy holidays to you too.

yeahhhhhh we are only 3 months apart on the sleeve journey. I found it has been way easier to lose with the sleeve than it was with the band...... although i loved my band. Sleeve was the easiest SX i ever had too.....

@bayougirlmrss I was told this is the fastest weight loss surgery, but I am not really looking for extremely fast. I want it to be healthy. This is our new tool and we can use it wisely for sure. Are you taking your biotin and vitamins?

I try to remember.... but i forget sometimes.

the fastest way is GB.... but my dr wouldn't do that. Said the sleeve was the way to go. Now i agree.

  10. Hi there, I'm 10 days out and am getting excited and nervous. I am marinating on the permanent implications of what I'm about to do. I am also choosing to focus on the gains - that being my health - over the losses that I feel I am going to grieve. If you've had the surgery, what is your best piece of advice or thought? Thanks, Red
  11. Well we all have had our sleeves done and have been together with supporting and cheering each other on. We all kinda know each other ..soooooooooo let's have some updates . whether it be NSV s , pics, new scale numbers, new relationships, situations from co workers, regrets or just anything at all . let's check in guys....
  12. Hello, I’m Jenny. I’m 38 years old, married to a wonderful and supportive guy, and a mother to two great kids. I had the sleeve done on Monday December 2nd with one overnight hospital stay. I went home on oxygen for when I’m at rest because of the elevation/altitude of where I live, which is near Denver. I’m 5’5” and was 295 pre-op. My goal is to lose 100 pounds and go from there. I have told very few people about my surgery because I don’t want to hear about how I took the easy way out. Nothing else I’ve tried has worked to lose weight and keep it off. This is my second day post-op, and I am very sore. I’m trying to get my fluid intake up and in a good spot, but it’s been hard. My stomach feels like I’ve been kicked a few times and it looks that way in spots where I’ve bruised. I don’t want to discourage anyone from getting their surgery done... I just wanted to write out how I’m doing so far. I hear it gets easier on the 3rd day.
  13. Did anyone feel really sick on the pre-op diet? I feel horrible with dizziness, headache, and weakness. My surgery is in 4 days but I can't stand the protein shakes and broth anymore.I don't know what else to do [emoji853] Sent from my moto g(7) using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. i was humbled to get on the scale this morning and see 239.0. This surgery has been the best thing ive ever done. As everyone else says "i just wish i had did it sooner." I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and enjoy your day. Thanks for the support.
  20. Hi I'm Crystal. I'm new on here. I had my sleeve surgery done 11/15/19. But I feel so alone in my experience. The first night in the hospital was traumatizing, I experienced pain like no other. The pain I had was almost like my entire stomach contracted and it was horrific to feel!!! So I was kept there for the whole weekend. I've been home now and I've been okay. Turning at night and finding a "comfortable"position is nearly possible. Has anyone else had a hellish recovery process ?!?! Or is mine abnormal?! And the whole "days 3 to the 6th day are the worst", is no joke! Ahhh please tell me I'm not the only one in this painfulness
