Ok so, I have been totally fine with my band. Never had any huge issues. Last year I went in and had a port revision and tummy tuck. Now about 10-11 months later I go to the gastroenterologist for different problems. But they do an Upper GI Xray and they said the barium won't go down. Well that's weird because I really haven't had any problems. If I eat super fatty food I get a little acid. But prilosec takes care of it. And say if I eat really tough meat or Pasta (which gives us all problems anyway)...then I may get burpy or like I'm stuck. But I have been getting increased burping (really gross ones too, sorry TMI)...that's probably my only symptom. The xray tech and gastro have NO clue about lapbands but after looking online and finding pictures of what a band slippage looks like...mine looked awfully like it. Plus they said that my band looked as though it was placed almost opposite the direction that it usually is placed. Which is something my initial doctor could have done anyway but...the full baggy pouch above the band...make me think slippage. Any opinions? Did any of you have almost no symptoms when your band slipped?

Almost 4 weeks post op new pain
makemeova36 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I got banded I went home with no gas pains. Now weeks later I'm feeling all kinds of pains and the gas x is slow to help. I'm passing gas (sorry tmi) and burping so I'm hesitant to call my Dr. Is this normal? -

Silly, I know, but how about putting on a regular towel instead of a bath sheet when you get out of the shower! Sorry if TMI! -

Just a warning....this may be TMI....but.... I took a Tbsp of Milk of Magnesia last night and finally had a BM after 8 days! I'm 7 days post-op. It was small but I had been on mostly liquids pre-op 2wks and liquids for a week now...Didn't expect much but it was good to get it out :-) -
i am four months post and my port hurts when I have been sitting too long, when I have been sleeping on that side, or when I have sex the "old fashioned way" (sorry for the tmi). It just feels sore like it's been stretched or scrunched, either one. Usually I just gently massage the area and then walk a round a bit and it goes right away. Good luck!

TMI - explosive diarrhea days after surgery?
takingbackcontrol posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry, kind of embarrassing but I need to know if this is concerning. I'm on the 4th day post-op, and having terribly liquid diarrhea that is preceded by loud gurgling in my intestines. I feel like I can't go out and walk too long or I might have an accident. Is this normal? ugh, how long will it last? -

I have a ? Ok so for the past week or so at night I have a sore throat kinda feels like a limp in my throat and I cough and eventually it goes away well today I started feeling like it was happening when I eat...I also wake up with phlegm (tmi sorry) if I cough I can get it to go away for a bit. ...I don't feel like my food is stuck or making me sick but could it be my pouch ? A stricture? Or just something with my throat like a cold ? I don't want to call my dr cause he'll make me come in for any complaint lol -
This is a little TMI but I have to ask. I'm 9 days post op and last night I was having watery BM all night and into this AM. Feeling blah. Had my first taste of a protein shake yesterday. Could that of been the reason??? Has that happened to anyone else?
-
Sorry for the TMI LOL But, the past few days I've been having dumping syndrom. If it's not called that for the sleeve, I'm not sure what to call it? It happens after every 'meal' (I'm only 9 days post op....so a meal would be Soup, pudding, Jello, etc..lol) How long does this last? It would make it hard to go to the weddings I have to be at this weekend

Not a happy little tummy :(

When did your "dumping" (hope this isn't too TMI LOL) stop? It seems like anytime I drink or eat (if Soup, pudding, etc is eating that is...) now -
Did anyone get cramps from the barium drink for the upper GI? It went through me pretty quickly (TMI I know) but now I'm crampy. Could be Aunt Flo, but anyone else get them from that crappy drink?

Yesterday I didn't go at all. Blessed relief. This morning I had a soft but formed (sorry) movement and I was pretty excited. This afternoon I had something that was basically just liquid. So it may be starting to get better but not quite there yet. I'm sorry for the TMI but it is what it is. -

I'm in a bit of a pickle.... I only took one week off of work so my short term disability would not have to kick in. I did this because every person that takes short term disability at my job gets fired when they come back. I work from home so when I had complications, I just rested. Well the week I was out, no one covered for me so all my stuff blew up then when I came back they did not give me a chance to catch up. Now I still have chronic diarrhea tmi sorry but I feel I spend half my day on the toilet. My job told me if I'm not caught up in 30 days I will lose my job.. I don't know what to do! -
I'm 4 days post op and I have horrible diarrhea, the kind that makes you physically sick, I know, TMI...but I drank almost half a bottle of water and it hit me so hard I didn't know if I was going to puke or what was happening...please tell me this phase is very short lived!

I just had my sleeve done on Friday 14th and have been on a drip. Today was the first day I was allowed fluids and the soup sat well but later on when I tried my protein drink I had diarrhea I barley drank any. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was told at least 5 days, on the other hand, I have been constipated like Maddysgram since the surgery 20 months ago! Miralax, ducolax, and when all else fails phosphate soda. I am now on an Rx to keep me mobile, I know TMI but true! -
Since my surgery last week I have had the worst smelling gas. There shouldn't be anything in there. Anyone else have this going on? I have never passed so much stinky gas in ny life. Sorry Tmi.

I am 4 and a half weeks post op. (sleeved May 22) I have trouble with back pain and headaches from allergies. I've tried taking Tylenol and Ibuprofin (both ok'd by the doc) but both of them give me horrible diarrhea (sorry TMI). I've been using my pain pills in the meantime, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what might help? Thanks so much!

June sleevers?
DallasSleeve replied to Healthier2day1227's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi everyone! My surgery was June 10th and I have to admit it was pretty rough! My Dr. said the surgery went really well except that they had trouble getting the camera scope down my esphogaus. Apparently, I have a little curve in it so they had to do a lot of wiggling. This led to a lot of chest pain afterwards! I was in recovery for 3 hours because I could not stop vomiting. And it was blue vomit- tmi, I know but did you know the dye they use in surgery was blue? The nausea did not stop there- I threw up and dry-heaved several times the next 2 days, including the barium swallow and the first dose of liquid pain meds. It REALLY hurt every time! I was definitely questioning my decision to have the surgery. BUT, now 6 days out, I am feeling so much better. I've only been on liquid tylenol so I was able to drive yesterday, go to church today and start feeling normal again. And I slept on my side last night! I am excited for this journey and to get to the mushy stage- I'm really having trouble getting in the protein. Can't wait to see how everyone else is doing! -
Success! !!! Today. I feel so much better today not really sore, JP drain. Is looking clear, gas is coming out and my intestines finally woke up. Tmi. Sorry. 6Days after surgery and I feel almost normal again.
