    New Addiction?

Well that's a positive thing in my opinion ... now if I can look at Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt and feel that way ... I'll be happy too ... and keep my taste for dark chocolate.

    Unhappy Camper

If it makes you feel less jealous, I am two years out and my sleeve makes me barf roughly once or twice a day, lol. There are some foods that I feel like I can eat much more than I should be eating and carbs would be one of them. My stomach doesn't like gravy or potatoes, but it loves crackers- I can eat a whole box of crackers in a few hours if I'm not paying attention. It's possible you may have just found one of your slider foods early in the process. As someone else said, focus on getting the Protein in first. Once you are back on solid food, this means eating the full serving of chicken, then a vegetable, and thennnn the potatoes. For me, dense Proteins make me feel instantly full and a bite too much or a bite of something my stomach decides it doesn't like, and I am barfing it all right back up. For now, try Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and thicker Protein shakes (you can blend stuff in a blender like...almond milk, Protein powder, frozen Greek yogurt, and PB2 to give you a thicker consistency, plus it tastes better). Also, why not cover your bases and make sure your stomach is actually gone? I sincerely doubt that the procedure was not done fully or correctly, but visual confirmation is always nice. Ask for a swallow study...you basically swallow this disgusting cup of goop and they watch it make its way all the way down your stomach to your intestine. You can actually see that your stomach is gone (I very vaguely remember this, I was blitzed out of my mind for my swallow study) and visually seeing that you no longer have a normal stomach might help you as well.

    I Did It!!!

Thank you all for your kind words! It absolutely feels better than any food:) I notice a lot of you are newly banded...congratulations, I know you will do well. For those of you who wanted some meal favorites...here you go...I am actually pretty boring, but I will give you an idea. For Breakfast I always have a Protein shake, I mostly use unjury. I find that it taste the best...I get chocolate and mix with fat free milk and that is it. My Dr. is okay with it because I chose a low/carb, low fat/low calorie one....this way I make sure and get 28 grams of protein in right away. That actually satisfies me until lunch (although when I was in the "Bandster Hell" time I was hungry) For lunch I either have a Yoplait Light Yogurt (my new favorite is the pineapple Upside Down Cake) which is 110 calories and then I will have either a Light string cheese or 100 calorie baked cheetoes...or else I may have a Soup at hand low sodium soup. Then for dinner I have a few favorites....I make taco salad with ground turkey, low fat cheese and baked tostitos and low fat dressing. I also eat a lot of boneless grilled chicken. Lean steak, like sirloin or filet with a baked potato and salad. Ground Turkey Burgers I don't put it on a bun....If I go out, I try to get a sub sandwich with no cheese no mayo or I get grilled chicken. I do splurge once in awhile, but I just make sure and not overeat....we did wings the other night and I used to eat 12 and now I eat 4. I know pretty boring....but once you start getting a good fill, it is amazing how food just isn't that important anymore...I mean don't get me wrong I think I will always have an obsession with food, but I have learned to listen to my stomache and not my head. I don't know if any of you have experienced this, but I just don't crave things like I used....I think not drinking the Diet Pepsi has helped with that....I used alway want chips or popcorn or something salty with my soda and now the cravings are not there. Anyway, I hope this helps a bit...as you notice I really try not to snack and I try to stay at about 800 calories a day...before I got a good fill I was doing 1000 calories and losing. I do go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week...I will never love it, but it does get easier! 40ismy year...Congrats to you!!! That is awesome...I see you did a 10k...that is amazing! Good for you.....You will be at 100 any day now:) Good luck to y'all and if you ever have any questions, I would love to answer them.
  4. Well to be honest, I don't think anyone hated exercise more than me (not saying you do). I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old that are very demanding, so I will take them on huge walks with me to the custard stand to get a frozen yogurt or water ice (where I will treat myself to a nice, BIG water LOL) so they have incentive to walk with me. I am thinking of buying a bike so we can all go riding, but believe me, I get the fact that it's hard having kids and most of the responsibilities that come with having them most of the time (my hubby works all the time too). What I did do was I went onto Comcast OnDemand and hit some of the free exercise videos there. There are a couple called "Walk for Weightloss" (Leslie Sansone is the instructor)--they have a 1-mile/15 minute brisk walk and a 2-mile/30 minute brisk walk and it incorporates a bunch of other movements in there so you burn more calories than you normally would taking a regular walk or walking on the treadmill. If you don't have comcast, you can buy those dvds relatively cheap. I now do the Wii Fit, Just Dance on the Wii (which my kids LOVE doing with me) and my new favorite is Hip Hop Abs (LOVE this workout)!!! Starting to integrate the Chalean Extreme to keep things fresh, but even though sometimes I'm not motivated to exercise (tired or may have had a long day), honestly, afterward, I feel SO good when I do. It's something I do for myself and it really feels good to know I'm working hard toward my goal when I could've given in and just laid down after work (even though that's what I want to do most of the time :-))!! Swimming is also an EXCELLENT way to get your exercise in! I've been bugging hubby to get the freaking pool open--now that he has it's been in the 60s since then :-( --just can't win! I can't wait to start getting back in the pool! REALLY great exercise, something to do with the kids and lots of fun too!! You'll fall into a groove soon. You just need to find something that works for you. They say walking is the best exercise, so try to check out those Leslie Sansone DVDs!!

Hey Miranda, Gatorade does not have the protien that isopure or a protien drink has and will leave you hungry still. I bought isopure ONLINE but to be honest, it wasnt worth the money. At the grocery store i found SOY GEN whey protien, zero carb, and i love the stuff. it was only 12 dollars a container vs the 75 dollars for isopure. I mix it in the mornings with a half a cup of milk, a container of probiotic yogurt and metimucile. Love the stuff. make sure you get alot of protien in, and you wont be "grazing" all day. I live right near the NB canada border. I feel for you on the shopping wise front.

I knew she was looking for stuff for her "clear fluids" phase because she mentioned the same thing on another thread (looking for isopure for clear fluid). I didn't say you were trying to mislead her...my post was not targeting you negatively in any way (if you thought so, sorry you got so defensive!)...I just wanted to remind her that milk and yogurt are not considered "clear fluids" by HER doctor. Maybe YOUR doctor told you milk was okay to mix with Protein shakes "three days out" but I know that her doctor doesn't recommend milk as a "clear fluid" for that first stage. cheers

    Cottage Cheese pouch test

Yep, I did it at about 18 months out, and the results were 4.9oz max capacity in 4 minutes 34 seconds before I felt like I was going to upchuck that One last bite. I've also done it with the Yoplait Thick N Creamy yogurt and could only get in 5oz in 5 minutes without feeling like I wanted to vomit. I burped up some of the cottage cheese because of how fast I ate(at least that's what I figured it was from).
  8. Hey everyone, Im in the exact same boat! It feels good to know that others are going through the same thing I am. I was sleeved on the 25th and am 6 days post-op. I feel really bubbly and gassy in my tummy. I get a pain on my left side of my breastbone and sometimes feel like I swallowed a big bubble of air. I was just going to ask if the gas they pump you up with is supposed to hang around this long. I hope it will go away soon. I was able to eat some yogurt this morning and it was soooo yummy. I tried some smooth cream of wheat this afternoon and it was a no go! I cant wait to start on more mushy foods. Hope everyone gets feeling better soon!

    List of things to get

Hit the food/recipe forum for the place to order samples of Protein powders. As for stuff to take to the hospital, I believe in packing light, but to have some essentials to make the stay more enjoyable. 1) Chapstick, Blistex, lip balm of some sort (I know you're a man, but believe me, chapped, dry lips suck) 2) comfy undies, and lounge pants to wear home 3) I took my own slippers to walk in, non-skid bottom 4) I took some lotion, shampoo/conditioner all travel size 5) Toothbrush/toothpaste/mouthwash I didn't take books or magazines, nothing to keep me occupied. There is typically a tv, and you'll be walking, sipping and sleeping so no need for all that other crap in my opinion unless you really like that kind of stuff. As for stuff to have at home, it kind of depends on your diet progression. sugar-free popsicles, broth cubes (so I could control the taste), Gatorade G2, those flavored herbal decaf teas were lifesavers for me, warm fluids worked so much better. Cream Soups, greek yogurt, sugar free pudding packages (not the pre-packaged stuff, the powder stuff in the box) Here's a link I send to everyone in the pre-op/prep stage: http://vsgfaq.wordpress.com/ A heating pad is pretty awesome for the gas pains, as is Gas X strips. Best wishes ! ! !

    Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Hello, I’ve been down a few days after surgery. Trying to force myself to eat. Nothing is good to me. Yogurt, Jello, low sodium cream soups and broth’s. I keep getting this weird feeling in my chest after drinking fluids, and eating very yucky feeling. Suffering the past few days with major headaches and HBP. went to emergency last night for headaches and they only gave me Tylenol. I spent $100 for that tidbit of information. Feel nauseated most of the time.
  11. I'll tell you what you did wrong. You should eat yogurt that is sugar free first off. Second if you ate something that disagreed with you, the last thing you should do is eat MORE food to chase it with, and peanut butter? Fat (and sugar) would just make dumping worse. Ditto with the cheese.
  12. Ok, not stomach hungry. I'm full of liquids, though I'm struggling to get in the 100 gms per day my surgeon recommends. I'm varying my intake with things on my list--Protein shakes, Jello, sugar free pudding and yogurt, broth, even 4oz a day of V8, which is my favorite. But my mouth is craving real food. I'm not a sweets person in general, I like protein and complex carbs, and I'm just so un satisfied. I'm dreaming about food, I would give my right arm for a piece of cheese. My surgeon recommends no carbs for a year, I can live with that I think, but I want to eat something real! I've read so much about people who feel n hunger at all. While my pouch feels full, I wouldn't describe this as "no hunger". Any suggestions?

    Discouraged. Slipped band.

First thing you have to do is stop the binging. Are you able to take time off work? That may help with doing the liquid diet. If you're able to lay around your house and not have to worry about anything it'll be easier to stick it out. If you want to save your band, I strongly advise you listen to your doctor. Remind yourself that it's just a week. I'm sure it feels good to binge but it's self-destructive behavior. Go to the store, stock up on protein shakes, broths, and yogurt smoothies and tough it out for 7 days. Then move on to mushies, and then try to eat your lap band diet the next week, and then see your doctor. Otherwise you're just going to go back to the way you were before. It's unfortunate for us but once you're obese your body will do whatever it takes to get that fat back. It's not a matter of pure willpower. That's why we needed help in the first place. But you can do 7 days. That's all it is. Just a week. Take it day by day and you'll get through it.

    July 2023 surgery people!

Hi. I just had my procedure on July 10 and have some good days and some challenging days. As each day goes by I am starting to feel better. There is some discomfort where I was cut but I am healing. I am definitely experimenting with what I can eat. My stomach can tolerate Greek yogurt but tuna fish did not go over so well. Best of luck to all that have had their surgery and upcoming surgeries.

    Anyone else for March 11th?

Good to hear from you both. Thanks for the kind words. You two are not doing too shabby either! What do your families say? Mine doesn't say much because they see me every day but one time, my 10 year old son gave me a big hug and then told me that he noticed he could now wrap his arms around my entire body. I realized he was right. It just kinda happens one day. So don't get discouraged. I do have to say the first 14 lbs. (probably mostly water) I lost pre-op on my own. I did it by just making better food choices and walking every day. So officially 35 lost due to the lap band (most of it early on due to Optifast diet pre-op and no food first week post-op). But hey, those 14 were on this bod so I'm counting it as gone, baby gone! (Ha ha!) :rolleyes2: Got a question for ya....what is a PB? I think I know but I want to be sure. If it is what I think it is, I've had a few too. Happened when I was so hungry, I started eating my food too fast and didn't chew it enough (just like you Chica!). Didn't throw up but sort of coughed it up. It was mostly like it was stuck in my chest. Now I'm trying hard to remember to chew, chew, chew. And O2BT, I also HATE, HATE, HATE not being allowed to drink while I eat. My Dr.'s office calls fills "adjustments". My instructions are to go on full liquids for the remainder of the day of the adjustment. Cream Soups, Protein drinks, smoothies, yogurt, etc. On the day after, I can proceed with soft foods. --bananas, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, etc. On the next day, progress to regular diet! I had my first one on April 18 and I have to say, it didn't do a thing for me. By then, I was eating as much as I wanted and whatever I wanted. No feeling of restriction at all. The next 4 weeks went by very slow. Not much weight loss either. I couldn't wait for my next adjustment on May 16. I asked my Dr. for a larger "dosage" and he said no, you really have to take it slow. He did tell me that when my band was first put in, it didn't have much in it to begin with. Their practice feels that even though the manufacturer recommends that it have a certain amount in it on the surgery date, that amount is too much in their opinion based on number of past recipients who have had restriction problems early on. So they put in much less. By the first adjustment, you are at the manufacturer's starting point. So last month, before my second adjustment, I only lost 3 pounds. But I know I am going to lose more before my third fill coming up on June 6. I definately feel some restriction now -- but not at my sweet spot yet. Too soon for that I hear....probably get there after 4 -5 adjustments. I had a 24 hr. stomach virus last Wednesday and didn't eat in 48 hrs. Only thing good that came out of that (no pun intended...ew!) was a 4 lb. weight loss! Still managed to walk my 2.25 miles even when I was sick. I'm addicted to my walking. O2BT...you gotta get moving. It feels so good afterwards. When you play golf, do you walk or ride in the cart? Maybe, try walking every other hole. And keep "shopping" in your closet. That makes you feel so good. Problems/weaknesses have been missing fried foods and breads...though I have been experimenting now and then and am able to get them down (don't know if that is good or not). I love to eat!! But that's what got me in this mess to begin with. Chica, hope you are feeling better. Let me know how you handle eating while travelling. We have our summer vacation coming up in June and I'm worried I'm going to get weak and want to eat too much. As long as I can eat salad, I keep telling myself I'll be alright.

    Anyone else for March 11th?

Bossstar...Back to work already! You're a trooper. I have so much leave time accumulated that I figure now is a good time to use it. Besides, what do I bring to eat for lunch?? Ha, ha, ... I know...bad joke. Chica....I was in the same predicament. I was so bloated I could barely get my Water down much less my Protein drinks. I figured my first priority was not to dehydrate so for the first 2-3 days, so I stuck to my water. Then I was going to try my chocolate unjury drink but I decided to call my dietician and make sure it was ok to have skim milk. Glad I did because she said no...wait one more day for milk. She suggested I have the unflavored Unjury with Crystal Light just like hopeinapril but I've got to say....it wasn't too good. Don't know if I have problems with the consistency or the taste (which it isn't supposed to have) or my continued bloatedness but it just took forever to go down. Today was my first day of real progress. I started my morning with my chocolate Unjury with skim milk...mmmm really good. Lunch was my chicken flavored Unjury...good enough. I ate a small vanilla yogurt for dinner and tonight I drank another Protein Drink called Muscle Milk-Light in Mocha Latte flavor...:blushing: yummy! Of course, I sip on water all day long. I found out about the Muscle Milk today at my 1 wk. appt./class. They gave us tons of new information with new products to try. They also said to blend the Protein Powder with your liquids..not just stir. Using a blender I'm told makes a big difference in the taste and texture. So I actually had over 60 grams of protein today. Bottom line....stay hydrated first...keep drinking your water and crystal light and then keep trying to drink as much protein as you can get in. It does get better every day. P.S. -- Lost 14 more pounds since 2 days before surgery!

    Any June 2008 Bandsters?

Hmmm lemme see... well the fibresure is availeable at coles, woolworths etc, in the same spot as the metamucil and pear juice is in a tin in the same sections as they sell the shelved juices at all the supermarkets. Now as I said the kapaipuku seed stuff can be obtained off their website... or a sample which would be better for you to start ( to make sure it goes down) by requesting it ...it should arrive in about 5 days. I would prob start right now with a stool softener like coloxyl tabs...or movicol (sachets of powder you mix into Water and drink) both availeable from the chemist so that you can soften the hard bulk you already have sitting in there so it will move out easily. At the same time I would begin the regime of the pear juice and the fibresure Dont panic that it doesnt work straight away....you have some compaction there and this is very natural action so it isnt as violent as say the sienna etc on the gut...it also wont slow anything down with prolonged use so you can continue it every day. I actually found that the kapaipuku really helped. It actually tones the bowel walls so they work better,it kind of conditions it so that when I stopped using it and continued with the fibresure and pear that I was doing at the same time it kept the ball rolling. To make a similar concoction to the kapaipuku you can mix together in a plastic container the following and have 2Tablespoons for morning and afternoon.. this is what I did till I got my sample and it worked a treat. Make sure you have the Seed mix and the pear juice ( mix the fibresure into the pear juice) first thing in the morning on an empty belly. After 3 days of eating the seed mix I went 3 times a day for about 4 days...it cleaned me right out. I felt so much better. Then it slowed down to the once a day...Dont worry about difficulty in passing the offending bussiness the fibresure keeps it soft. Here is the ingredients of the seed mix, just buy them from the supermarket and the health food store...get small packs or you will end up with a bucket full. whole flax seed sesame seeds poppy seeds buckweat (raw) almonds (slivered or chopped) sunflower seeds currants or dried apricots (chopped) Mix all together and have 2 Tablespoons in either yogurt or soaked in pear juice over night or pour over milk and have cold or nuke it to make a nutty porridge. I hope this helps.. I know it sounds like a fiddle to start with but after a week you will be able to just have the juice with the fibresure everyday.

    Stretching your sleeve

I am 32 days out. I have never had any problems with vomiting, and glad of it. That means I'm doing things right. I have however had some pain just a couple of times with meats not going down well. You learn as you go as to how much of what to eat. Meats are though for me. But I can eat tuna salad, chicken salad, spaghetti sauce with meat in it (no pasta) & chili with beans. Things with meat that have more liquid in them go down much better. I can eat more of soft foods, like yogurt, pudding, etc. It's like pouring water in an odd shaped container, Liquid can go in every crevice, but you can't push solids in like that. Plus solids stay with you tummy longer because they are harder to digest. I can tolerate protein bars much better than protein shakes so I opt for those. I have 2-3 a day with 20 grams of protein each and then eat sensibly the rest of the day. I drink 60 oz of water a day, and walk 1 1/2 miles to 2 miles a day. This is not hard...it's common sense. Like the other sleever said. RELAX... if your not hurting or vomiting your doing it right !!!!!!! My Doctor also said (after my direct question) the part of your stomach that is taken away is the part that stretches, the thicker harder muscle part is what is left. And it is very hard to stretch it. He said it will only stretch about 2 extra oz's. and that's it. But as Dee Dee said, if you constantly over eat, it will make that small stretch, an it will not help you at all. So don't do it!!!! It's that simple. But from what I've read your all doing great....just keep up the good work, and do the BIG THREE ( PROTEIN, WATER, WALK) and you'll be fine. I'm not a veterian yet, but I'm getting there slowly.

    Fiber and Digestion

I put benefiber in all sorts of stuff. It's not gritty and it works like a charm. I agree with Jacqui. Our bodies need fruits and veggies. I don't want to end up with colon cancer. I also eat fiber one Cereal. Sometimes I put it in yogurt. That and Kashi cereal have very high fiber content. They are whole grain so they are considered good carbs.

    Grocery list

High protein foods, greek yogurt, milk, hard and soft cheeses, eggs, beans, ground meats beef, chicken, turkey and fish is something I eat almost every day. I do keep some protein drinks if I need them but I very rarely need them. I make a lot of my own main dish meals and freeze them in small portions. I was going to try a crock pot meal this week end some looked real good. Hope this helped? I have been banded 5 months now and have lost 68 pounds following the rules. Best wishes imaluckydog

I thought this was interesting. http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes_food_diet/satiety_index.php Turns out boiled potatos have the highest satiety index of all foods tested: <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=8 width="80%" bgColor=#ffffcc border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=5>The Satiety Index </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=5><SMALL>Each of the following foods is rated by how much food people ate after consuming them to satisfy their hunger.</SMALL> </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=5><SMALL><SMALL> All are compared to white bread, ranked as "100"</SMALL></SMALL> </TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Bakery Products</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Carbohydrate-Rich Foods</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Croissant</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>47%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>White bread</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>100%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Cake</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>65%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>French fries</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>116%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Doughnuts</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>68%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>White Pasta</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>119%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Cookies</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>120%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Brown Rice</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>132%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Crackers</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>127%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>White rice</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>138%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Snacks and Confectionary</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Grain bread</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>154%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Mars candy bar</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>70%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Wholemeal bread</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>157%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Peanuts</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>84%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Brown pasta</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>188%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Yogurt</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>88%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Potatoes, boiled</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>323%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Crisps</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>91%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Protein-Rich Foods</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Ice cream</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>96%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Lentils</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>133%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Jellybeans</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>118%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>cheese</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>146%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Popcorn</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>154%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>eggs</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>150%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Breakfast Cereals with Milk</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Baked Beans</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>168%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Muesli</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>100%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Beef</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>176%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Sustain</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>112%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Ling fish</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>225%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Special K</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>116%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD colSpan=2><SMALL>Fruits</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Cornflakes</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>118%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Bananas</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>118%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Honeysmacks</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>132%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Grapes</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>162%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>All-Bran</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>151%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Apples</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>197%</SMALL></TD></TR><TR><TD><SMALL>Porridge/Oatmeal</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>209%</SMALL></TD><TD width=8 bgColor=#ffffcc></TD><TD><SMALL>Oranges</SMALL></TD><TD><SMALL>202%</SMALL></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

    What have I done?

It gets better! I went through the same thing. In reality, there really isn't much you CANT have in the long run. I had a little bit of Pasta but made sure I ate the chicken first. I certainly won't make a habit out of it but it's nice to know that if I want a small portion I can have it and it's not the end of the world. I still get repulsed by some foods at 9 weeks out. Yogurt is absolutely disgusting and I can't get it down even though I try. Right after surgery Protein shakes in all forms made me gag. It's much more pleasant once you get moved to real food.

    LESSON LEARNED

I am hesitant to admit this but the other day I had some frozen yogurt with my husband, not even a large quantity really, maybe 4 OZ... it went RIGHT through me, I felt like I was going to throw up... I won't be doing that again, not to mention its bad for weight loss.
