So I'm 6 weeks preg. And for the past two days I have been very weak and faint. I have hydrated myself, took vitamins, and ate protein rich food but no improvement. To top it off TMI alert....I have been spotting brown and red and I have had some thick substance come out that I've never seen before. The spotting has been going on for over a week.

Gas after protein shakes?
READY4CHANGE2013 replied to Alison1227's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LUCKY YOU!! That protein drink sends me right to the bathroom. It's like a diuretic...sorry TMI!! Yogurt goes down pretty easy but anything dairy sets my tummy on fire so be careful! -
Pre op diet?
sleeveforkayla replied to sleeveforkayla's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok a little off topic but I'm wondering if anyone has suffered from constipation with the pre op diet? If so, what did you find best to use? I apologize in advance if this is TMI. -
Had my revision

Yes, I can take up to 7 strips a day and I have been walking. I finally passed a little wind yesterday (TMI) & it felt wonderful! I think most of my soreness is from the hernia repair. -
How long does port pain last???
ChicagoRose replied to asho_26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This happens to me too! It's not really pain though...just uncomfortable or tender. Also happens during sex on occasion...sorry TMI, or if I'm sitting weird for too long. -
To Curvy: more re: the bicycle seat; what everyone else said is true but I found I needed a slightly wider seat to accommodate my wide pelvic bones! TMI sorry! LOL! It took trying several different seats till I found the one I have on my bike now. The difference in the width is only about 3/4 inch on each side but it made a big difference in my comfort on long rides. Ironically my bike seat is designed specifically for men. I find the really skinny and hard bike seats like on the spin bikes to be extremely uncomfortable. It feels like it's gonna go where the sun don't shine! Again, sorry if that's TMI every body!

I haven't checked in for 7 days, however I've been logging my exercise into MyFitnessPal. Last weekend I logged 10 miles of running/walking. This week I didn't make it to the track, but I got onto my elliptical every morning (except for Friday) for an hour--logging in 20 miles. This weekend I hit the road on a borrowed bike (How do you long distant bikers do it?!?! My lady parts and rear took a beating!!! Sorry for the TMI!) and I hit 13 miles. There was a lot of up hill riding...it was torture on my quads and hams, but I loved it and will be doing it again. I'm going shopping for a bike and I will definitely make sure to get one with a wider and better cushioned seat (so my under area won't feel so abused! LOL!). So, my total for this month is 63. I plan on getting another 5 in either at the track or on my elliptical, bringing it up to 68. Everyone is doing great! It is so awesome to see so many people on this thread. No matter your fitness level, keep it up and keep pushing yourselves! I look forward to reading your successes

No BM for WEEKS! HELP!
Sydney Susan replied to nashiemmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to get serious about this as it can stretch your rectum (particularly if you over 40). Try any/all of the following: - stool softeners without laxatives (eg: coloxyl... and you might need quite a bit) - small enemas to get things "started" (eg: Microlax or if you r in US I've heard others mention Fleet Enema). You may need several if you have a hard stool blocking your rectum, and the longer it sits there the harder it gets - If you have a rectocele already, "splinting" the wall between your vagina and rectum with fingers inserted in v can reduce the size of the rectocele and help you pass a BM). Some people find their perineum bulges as the rectocele forces down but not out, so pressure there can help - Fibre is good as a preventive (though Benefibre doesn't seem to work for many), but once you get constipated fibre can actually make things worse, so use it with caution. - Lots of Water is good and essential! - A Lactulose solution (Lac-dol or Dulcolax) with water can be great - technically it's a sort of laxative but less dependency forming than laxative tablets - I have a bowel surgeon who advised me this as I have l/t problems since a major cancer op 7 years ago. TMI I know (sorry) but GPs are often clueless about all this stuff and many people make themselves worse because they just don't know how to deal with this v common problem - we don't talk about it enough. I hope something here helps. Good luck. -

Constapation post sleeve advice please
Twylad replied to rcc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was over a week post-op for me. I became concerned, so I called my doc and he gave me permission to use Miralax, which did the trick. I've also been surprised by how much smaller my BMs now. (TMI?) -
I had my scope done at 7wks post op. I've had 2 days of being on this antacid (its called prevacid). I did heave this evening but it was right after I opened my parents smelly fridge so I don't think I'll count it. I was also given permission to use gravol for nauseau and I have taken 1 chewable fast acting tablet per day. I was able to eat half a biscuit with peanut butter and about 1tbsp of chili & rice today. Sorry if this is TMI but I've been pooping it out quickly. I went approx 5 days of eating very little so I didn't poop then. Now I'm making up for it I guess.

I am sure this is a stupid question, but I have seen this term mentioned several times within a list of negative side effects, and I am clueless.....when I have a BM/diarrhea while dumping it is kind of oddly foamy......is this it? Sorry for TMI!!

october 7th and horrible pain
WJE626 replied to sassymommy2three's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm October 8th and still have pain in the middle of my chest. It's like major heartburn I guess?? I've never had heartburn before. I was able to eat my first sugar free pudding a little bit ago and now have the runs. I know tmi. I'm ok with the incision points but this heartburn is the worst. Trying to keep hydrated. Have only been able to drink about 2 bottles of Water (if that) everyday. After 4 hours of taking percoset, I get the chills and the pain comes back. I have learned that after 20 minutes of taking the pain meds, I can get most sips of water in as well as my Vitamins. And then of course I'm not freezing anymore. How are you feeling? -
I have been having the same issue so I called my Dr.'s office. They told me that I can take milk of magnesia... I'm having surgery on Tuesday & was concerned about not having gone for like 5 days! TMI, I know.... My diet since Oct. 2nd. has been 3 Protein shakes & 2 diet yogurts... SF Jello/SF popsicles.

September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
birdmadgirl replied to birdmadgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 3 weeks out of surgery and doing ok except this aching feel like someone stabbed me in the ribs with a knife pain on my left side radiating into my back. I also get the poops pretty easily (tmi i know but what the hell... lol).. anyone else experiencing either of these symptoms? -
Surprisingly, even though I've been very overweight most of my life, I've very rarely hard issues with chaffing in my sensitive areas. But since I've been losing weight, I've had a terrible time with chaffing in my groin area, and underneath my belly/pubic area. It hurts horribly bad and I'm miserable! I tried to find some of that Monistat soothing chaffing cream, but I couldn't find it at Walgreens tonight. I'll have to look somewhere else tomorrow. Has anyone else had this issue as they were losing weight?? It makes no sense that I'm having this problem considering I'm smaller now!

Are u all getting ur water in? I'm not doing so good with that. Do anyone of u know what if ur doing anything ur not supposed to? I need ideas. Because I'm sooo frustrated. I feel like I failed at this and my body is done. Everytime I feel like I'm gonna have a good weighin week, something happens and I'm back to not losing. My week was great. I was a pound down and still had 5 more days to go before my official weekly weighin which is on friday. Tmi I'm sorry but I've been constipated and haven't gone in days and now I'm 2lbs up. GRRRR -

Just starting out
hopeliveshere replied to Ms.brickhouse's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am from NY and i also had to do the 6 month requirement. I was up and down during it but at the end of it i was still up like 3 lbs from where i had originally started. I have done just about every fad diet and taken every diet pill you could think of. I had a little success back in 2009 with the alli pill. i lost about 40lbs but it came back over a period of 6 months. The first half of the 6 months went really slow for me but then at the end i actually had trouble squeezing in all my appts. Now i am just waiting for the official date. Yes this site is great. I never feel asahmed to ask anything b/c i know someone will have experienced the same thing. And trust me there isnt much thats TMI around here. Keep me posted on your journey! -
I read vsg can help because the pressure on the internal organs is relieved. One mo out, I noticed just the opposite. I don't need any muscles to urinate. Any one else experience this reversal.?

Hi All, Just Sharing. I had my first appointment with the plastic surgeon concerning my belly. I am running 3 miles a day X 5 days a week. I battle a chronic rash. I actually thought it was all cleared up only to find it is still there. I guess it makes sense that I wouldn't know since I've had 3 C-sections and have no feeling around the scar area. All the more reason to loose the skin! Anyway, about 10 days till I find out yes or no. Now it is the waiting game. Planning on a bladder sling at the same time. Since loosing all this weight I can't sneeze without peeing! Hope this isn't tmi! Fingers crossed!
