    List your NSV's here!

All the NSV's are so nice to read. I am glad my post caught on.
  2. I was laying down and yelled at my husband to run over because i thought i had a tumor in my abdomen................I grabbed his hand and put it on the hard spot of my abdomen........he laughed and said "those are your ribs"! HAHAHA!! The other nsv is: When I went home for thanksgiving, I raided my sister's closer and took everything she doesn't use. I grabbed a size 16 jacket and thought well someday. I put it on this morning and don't look like a total sausage! It doesn't quite button all the way, but hey definately an improvement compared to those size 28 shorts i had to wear this past summer!!!

I had an NSV just today. I've had previous MRI's on my knees and they've been unable to fit my leg comfortably in the knee coil....until today!!! I had an MRI today and my leg fit perfectly in the coil! No pinching, or having to stuff the fat down to get the coil to strap on. It was such a little thing, but a HUGE deal to me!!!

    Marchies in September!!

Hey Everyone! Had a NSV moment today----well sort of. The DH and I went to the Home Depot to get some last minute odds and ends (we are remodeling our master bathroom) Anywho, there are checkouts lines at the Depot that are self-checkout and we were waiting in line for the next available. When it was our turn--a guy at the end of the line jumps ahead of me and the DH and proceeds to checkout-----well I was pissed! I announced quite loudly in from my inner monologue " Some people are so rude"! He didn't say a thing and left.....but then he came back in to the store as I was checking out and told me that if I had something to say to him that I should say it to his face---so being me--and fearless (no matter that he was bigger than me--a probably a former skin head) --I told him he was rude to his face! And he left in a huff cussing. Well, the DH and I left the depot and there was the smug bald-headed goatee wearing chode in his big POS Blazer screaming at me...and this is what he said "Hey you B_ _ ch! If this was 10 years ago I would kick your A$$ and your husbands. Now the point of the story is that it wasn't "Hey you Fat B_ _ch!" So I feel that this is a NSV :heh: Of course at this point I ignored him--and my husband told him to go on about his way and calm down. Of course my inner monologue was trying to come out and say "So, 10 years ago you would beat up a women? Good so you are not a blankey blank blank ---but now you just threaten because you are a p_ssy! ( I am a cusser, so I will not expose you guys to that) Anywho, I drive an orange vibe ( not many on the road) so my husband says that we won't be able to drive the car to the Home Depot for awhile. I was like----"HELL YES I WILL!" BRING IT ON SUCKER"!!! I AM FEARLESS! It is like the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" the parking lot scene. If you let people be rude and run all over you and you not call them on it---well they will continue it and believe that they are entitled!!! WE MUST UNITE AGAINST RUDENESS!!!! The end...... Denise

    Marchies in September!!

Janine - I'm glad you got that unfill, I was worried about you. Great to see you back, TammyJ! We missed you! To The Bitch: Awesome NSV story! LMAO....soon you'll be "Skinny Bitch". Jeni, Feeling pretty good about my progress, and am happy with my band for sure. No regrets at all. I have to weigh myself daily. I actually read something that people who do weigh frequently manage their weight better. As long as we don't freak out over the normal fluctuations, I think it's ok. Jmcambra - Happy 6 month bandiversary today! Me too! You have really done well with your commitment to exercise. I was going to post my 6 month pics today, but something is wrong with my before picture. It's not the right type of file or something, and I don't know why. It's because I had rotated it, I think. I'm not very good at this. Any suggestions?

    Marchies in September!!

Yes, Janine, the possibilities ARE endless! Good for you--what a great NSV. Everyone is doing awesome--keep it up! It's just so inspiring to me to see your victories. I'm actually feeling restriction for basically the first time. I had my 8th fill a week ago tomorrow and am now at 3.3 in my 4 band. The downside is that I had 2 slime/pb episodes in the last 4 days but I'm learning. The upside is that I HAVE RESTRICTION! Woohoo. Now I just need to learn to chew chew chew and take m & m-sized bites. The band is really doing it's behavior modification job for me on those two counts. I'm doing Curves and just joined their diet class so we'll see how that goes. I'm ready to start losing (I have been ready for six months, of course, but now I'm ready to start with some help via restriction). Good luck to everyone--keep up the great work. Karen
  9. froggi- I totally know how you feel. It's getting better now a days... but I count it as a workout too. I'm 330, 5'7" and I can straddle my hubby. He's pretty skinny around the waist though. Actually, had a NSV the other day... hope this isn't tmi- but there's not as much fat in the nether-regions now- actually "scored" without my hubby having to work his fingers! That's NEVER happened for me.

    Partner’s weight

My wife lost weight. I cook for the house. So when I didn't cook for a month, she didn't eat well and lost about 15lbs - down to her prebaby weight. Then I started cooking again, she joked that she'd regain it. But again, i was serving far smaller portions. In the past I just srved her what I was having and she ate more than needed. So she lost a little more still. It's been a good unanticipated NSV. She's a perfect size anyway, but seems happier in her skin less the baby weight. My Life as a Bandster

Hi Everyone. Just thought I would pop in and say hi. I am doing well. The scale is giving me a hard time, but I am trying to stay focussed on inches right now. I have been doing 2 different boot camps, so something good must be happening. NSV...my uniforms are a med now...a little tight, but still a med!!! My mom had a mastectomy and unfortunatley the cancer has spread. They are starting chemo in a couple weeks. Your positive thoughts are appreciated. Thank you for the support. I haven't had a fill since march...seem to be ok with that. Have a lot of restriction when I eat 'good' foods. I have someone helping me with nutrition, so that helps too. That is all for now. I enjoy reading your posts, even though I don't always join in. Well, gotta run, I am off to bootcamp before work. Have a great day everyone!

    Any May sleevers out there?

the hardest part is getting my Water in each day, and also trying to keep my Vitamins in check. I seem to have something different low each visit. For example my Iron was low in my first set of labs, then without adding iron to my supplements it was fine the next time. But my b1/thiamin was low, and even with taking 2 super b tablets a day, it was still low. I am now taking 2 super b tablets and 2 b1/thiamin tablets a day and I just had labs drawn this week, and will have results next week. I am almost never hungry, and I can't stand sweets anymore. When they remove the bulk of your stomach they also remove the area that produces the hunger hormone, and the part that makes you crave sweets. I can't even do the kids chewable vitamins, they are too sweet and make me gag. So I take regular tablets, and they go down just fine. I take a handful of vitamins a day, and I'm healthy, happy and have more energy than I have ever had. I just posted a huge thread about my very emotional NSV tonight. My surgeon that is normally very composed, and not very friendly just very to the point, told me how proud he was of me, and corrected my mom when she said I had lost too much, and called me perfect and compared me to a Barbie. I joked that I gained 20 pounds just from my head swelling. I was banded in 2005 and started at 244 I lost a grand total of 40 pounds with my band. Then when I had my revision I was 206 the morning of surgery last May. So I have lost a total of 129 pounds total, but 91 of those were with my sleeve. I actually lost the 91 pounds in 7 months. I have been at goal since before Christmas.

    Bad Day

why is this a bad day? It sounds like an NSV to me! I don't know how much you've lost, your sig doesn't state it. But if you've lost a significant amount of weight really fast, you will probably have dramatic results in your face. This is one of the first things that many people notice in many of the RNY people. and yes, 12 hour day when you first get back to work is a little much.
  22. Hi August 2005 bandsters!! I was just thinking about starting a thread for us when I happened upon this one..... I love my band.....my life has changed in so many wonderful ways I can barely keep track of my NSVs. I plan on changing my pic and showing my before and "still working on it 'after'" pics on my band anniversary...August 17!!! Keep up the great work August 2005 Bandsters!!!!

Congrats on your NSV, and it shows what a caring person you are that you felt for that women. Maybe one day she will also be able to have an NSV like you.
