Yes! I used to HAVE to color code my under garments (still do undies, tmi, I know!) But, since I got a proper fitting bra about 6 months ago, I wear only the nuetral BOULDER HOLDERS! They're not the pretty lacey things I like, but oh, well - they feel sooo much better. Now I have to work on that purse strap, since I do carry my kitchen sink in there.... Me, too! I love the "it takes a village" concept. I wish more parents would subscribe to that. My friend would correct my DD and then turn to me and say "sorry". I always said, "I'm not the only influence in her life. I could be wrong - please correct her, and me!" Thanks! I do hate that crap. "I wasn't attacking anyone..." Bullsh!t.

Hey Suzy! WTG on becoming a foster mom! That's so cool! And I admire those who can do that. I don't have the... I don't even know how to word it. I guess I wouldn't want to let any of the kids go once I've got them! It would break my heart! We adopted DD when she was an infant so I understand the paperwork and hoops you have to jump through. We had to do the whole nine-yards b/c in CA you are considered only the foster parents til the agency/State release control after 6 months. Even tho it wasn't a fost/adopt that's how they play it here. Like it's a 6 month trial period in case we change our minds (like bloody hell!) or the agency "finds" something or whatever. In our case the 6 months was also used to terminate the unknown birthfather's rights in court. PJTP: I feel like crap. Literally. I got stuck on my shake this AM. Switched to hot tea and it's been going down but taking a lot of time. Strange b/c I was able to eat/drink just fine last night. No problems other than what happened at lunch yesterday. I'm freezing too. TMI ALERT: I just got thru retching everything that did manage to get thru my band. I've been gurgling and some stuff has gone thru but it all just came up and I couldn't stop for a minute, even after there was nothing left. I slept til 10 this AM and yesterday and today both, had awakened with a sore throat, still sore. I'm thinking I'm coming down with something and that's why I'm having problems. Scared now to even try the tea. I don't want to start retching again. Shaky and light-headed too. I decided to do a couple of loads of laundry so I don't have to do it ALL when I get home. Started packing too as this is our last day. (We head home tomorrow. DD and I should be back at our house by Sunday.) But I have to be careful when I stand up too fast. Have to sit down before I fall down kind of thing. Was feeling okay, not great, so I went ahead and started the laundry but now I'm feeling worse. Otherwise I wouldn't have started it yet. I'm waiting for the last load to dry and once it's put away, I'm going back to bed. It's gotta be warmer in there. I hope! Mom took DD and a bunch of them went off to some viewpoint somewhere to see some of the big peaks. When they get back Mom and Step-Dad are going to hook the bike trailer up and take DD on a ride. She'll enjoy that and I can sleep more. Okay. I'm going to go check the dryer and hope it's done so I can go back to bed. See ya!

Wow! Ummm, just, wow! Okay! Think she has some anger management issues! I also think I'll send her my bar of soap! I don't need it as much as she does! I was actually thinking about hitting the report post button but while I was trying to decide WHICH post of hers to actually report, I noticed that the thread had been closed and she'd been suspended! Whew! Found the chicken thread too and there really is just something WRONG with her! I'm not much of a prude but WOW! And talk about TMI!! ~~~~~~~ Oh man! It's getting to the point where the weather report on the news is just as bad to watch as the headlines and "breaking news!" UGH! More 100+ at least til NEXT weekend! Go away already! YUCK!!!!! I'm going to bed! Night all!

SNT, I think you'll find that by agreeing with me, your life will be that much smoother, rewarding, enriching, etc. At least that's what I keep trying to tell me wife and kids. So far, not much luck.... Leslie, maybe I do watch adult swim....and maybe I am naked, weeping and eating Cheetos while I watch it....oops, TMI? Diva, just keep thinking deep thoughts, mmmmm'kay?

Sweet, sweet Friday!! Man...it felt like it would never get here, lol. I just read all of the posts above and now I can't remember what I read. Jeez. Here I go... Trey- That breaks my heart about your dogs. They really do become a part of the family. Phooey on your crappy year too. It will get better! You've got a fun personality and you're not too shabby looking so get out there and enjoy life! (Maybe all that wasn't necessary...didn't you just crash a reunion?? LOL!) ....and we (I think it's safe to speak for us all) enjoy your taunting and teasing so keep bringing it!!! Michelle, ug! Pink eye. Poor baby. My sister and I used to share make-up when we were younger (well...I wouldn't say she "shared" so much as I took). We both had pink eye at the same time! I hope DD gets to feeling better. Kat, I hope you guys get the other dog! The dog you have sounds like a sweetie and 'woo-hoo' for all the training she has obviously had!! It sure makes things easier. Our little dog brought a frog in the house last night. I used to play with frogs when I was younger but I just couldn't bring myself to pick this little dude up! I took the baby gate (which blocks the dog from the litterbox aka "snackshack") and scooted it's butt back out the door (our puppy is facinated with the cat's poop). YUCK. She likes to go in and get herself a 'snack' on occasion (if somebody forgets to put the gate back up). TMI...sorry. The thought makes me dry heave. Then she kisses her 'daddy' and that makes me laugh!! They had a story on the hail in West Texas this morning on the news. They compared it to tennis balls. Hope you guys didn't get it that bad, Kat!! Hiya, Shar! Are you getting any rest? I know you've mentioned working some funky hours! Suzie...I lost track somewhere. Have you done the 5k yet? I wish I was having margi's with you! Jenn- Snuggling with George and then breakfast?? You go girl!!!!!! Cindy...less stress today? I still admire you! Tracy- You boycotting Wal-mart or what? LOL! Kuddos on the .5 lbs. A loss is a loss!! How is the little "see'r" doing? Debbie, how are you today?? Still tinkering with Facebook? I used to spend hours on it. I love reconnecting with people! Ashley, welcome again! LOL...I should tell you a little about me...I am 35, married (Mike) and I have one son (Zach) and two 'bonus" grown sons. I live in Texas..about 10 min. from Tracy. Have fun on your date night! I am working tomorrow so I will catch you guys then. **THAT my friends, was a long post!!!!! Have a good day...er...weekend! Angela

I am an avid believer that you can never be over informed but i am sad to say that when it comes to the topic of the Lab Band i am sadly mistaken. I have been "educating" myself with all the pros/cons of the lap band and and actually starting to scare myself out of this surgery. I really need to lose weight but when i read things like how people have the band for 18 mos and dont lose anything it makes me think could i be that person come next year. Maybe i am "over educating" myself on the negative aspects? It is wonderful to read about the people who have lost 100+ lbs but it seems that there is more horror stories then good ones. Should i just stop reading these posts, cover my eyes and just get the lap band?? What do you vets think?? Thanks Zen

Oh thank god someone has mentioned this. By "shadoobs" I assume you mean "the runs". hahaha. Not to be all TMI, but since starting this liquid diet, I have been gassy and back and forth to the bathroom. I thought I was the only one. It's driving me crazy. I think my body is slowly getting used to the shakes, but geez, they don't warn you! LOL

December 2010 Bandsters out there?
Dave_NW replied to GardenGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good idea to test as you, er, "go." If you find you don't care for the shakes, remember that Costco will take back the open box and give you a full refund. So you won't be stuck with them if you don't like them. (My own TMI) As for the fiber thing, Costco also sells Fiber Gummies. They taste (kind of) like Gummy Bears. I eat a few a day, and it keeps me sort of regular. My diet is higher Protein, lower glycemic carbs, and not a lot of volume, so bathroom visits for that reason are only a few times a week. The Fiber Gummies help the movement of such things when the need is there, if you catch my drift. Dave, who is chuckling over the personal things this forum gets me to admit... -

I just did yesterday after taking dulcolax. I’d went like 6 days. Sleeved 11/3. It’s been pure liquid since. TMI but just needed the dulcolax to move the last remaining solids from my system from pre op. I lost 2 lbs just from the BM for a total of 11 lbs the first week.

Im too shy to talk to anyone about this. I have not had my period for over a year now and today I was surprised it came back. I heard that having Bariatric surgery sometimes helps women get it. Does anyone know why? This may be TMI and if so sorry!! Today was just horrible day, I didn’t drink not even half of the water I’m suppose to and i know it’s a must. So I didn’t have to use the restroom till tonight (that’s how little I drank today, I know that’s bad). Who knows when I started because not even an hour ago (it’s 8:44 as I’m typing this) I had to use the restroom and that’s when I noticed. Thank Goodness I didn’t leak through my jeans at work. Because I haven’t had it in so long I couldn’t pin point why 1. I was craving sweets (had a SF popsicle to help with that since I’m a little over 2 weeks post op from VSG) 2. I was moody/emotional and lazy 3. Just uncomfortable

extreme fatigue and sore body after walking and eating?
meridian.jpg posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Today I walked up to Walmart, which is a good half a mile away from my apartment, and I had subway for dinner. I took about 30 minutes to eat and I waited 15 minutes to drink my tea. No problems, I felt fine that is until my mother came to pick me up around 9:45pm. As soon as I got in the house, I felt like I was going to faint and my whole body felt sore. So I sat down for awhile and stayed awake but around 12:45, I got cravings so I had half a Protein bar and 15 minutes later I had half a Protein shake. Right after finishing my half of the shake, I got that fainting feeling again and I felt extremely tired, more tired than I've ever been. I also feel weak, lightheaded, I have some chest pain and my arms are so sore. Back in Feb to the end of April, I was having a lot of extreme fatigue to the point just walking to the bathroom was making me weak and tired, I slept nearly all day and all night but, now in May, up until now, I was feeling a lot better. I also used to get the extreme fatigue after eating back then but the ER doctor and my doctor never addressed it. I know when I went to the ER back in April for (tmi) constant bloody and loose stools, I was told I have a "small and slow" lower gi bleed that could be causing the weakness and fatigue but they didn't admit me. I have not had any bloody stools since the end of April and I am still waiting to see a gi doctor and waiting to see my new surgeon again (had the surgery in Nebraska in September, left at the end of November to move to Flordia) because he's booked soild. :/ Anyone experience any of this, the fatigue, weakness etc? -
April 16th role call - who's with me!

And now it's time for a TMi moment...... I wonder if anyone outside of Bariatric land knows what NSV stands for? Probably not. That's a "non-scale victory" for those of you not in the know So it dawned on me yesterday that a serious issue I was being plagued with in middle-age has disappeared! Prior to surgery, I constantly felt like I had to pee! Sometimes I would rush to the bathroom only to have a small amount come out. It felt like something was sitting on top of my bladder. I would pee and 2 minutes later I felt like I had to pee again! It was a frustrating cycle and my doctor and I concluded I had organ prolapse resulting from age and my muscles weakening from childbirth. Post surgery, the problem is GONE. The only thing I can conclude is my stomach was sitting on top of my bladder. With most of it gone, it's allowed things to shift around inside of me and now everyone seems to have their own "personal space" within and are happy! I am thrilled! Just in time for a long weekend car ride to Yosemite! Don't worry girls, I won't be hiking any major trails this trip. I plan on finding a nice place to plop myself down and reading a book while the rest of my adventurous family hikes. Can I get a shout out for bladder control?!?! Awesome!!! -

What do you wish you'd known before lap band surgery?
gowalking replied to Sarah A's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I needed my port moved as well. No tummy tuck but it stuck out like a golf ball. Even got caught on my belt sometimes and warning...might be TMI, but certain positions in the bedroom caused a problem as well. Not anymore though now that it's tucked behind the muscle.. -
February 2019 weight loss buds
Everything replied to TheMarine79's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi November! Welcome to the convo! Goody - Thanks for the advice. I should’ve checked this earlier to see if you responded because he got the braces this morning! But at least it’s done. We’ll just figure out the details as we go. They were only paying for $1500 of it anyway. He had to have some oral surgery in the hospital etc. etc. etc. so really in the long run $1500 isn’t the worst. Sheri you are looking lovely as always. My mom would have loved your shirt. She was a huge OU fan. My husband a huge Texas fan so that was always a fun conversation. My mom was from Okmulgee Oklahoma. Ever heard of it? Congrats Pattianne! 2B - you’ll have to define “bad days” for me. I still puke now and then and sometimes I even still spit out that last bite of food. I get a little ahead of myself rushing. OK last thing and this is super personal but has to do with weight loss surgery so I’m sharing. For the last four weeks I have been battling symptoms of a urinary tract infection. I have been on antibiotics and they have sent my samples to the lab twice. I get the new results later today. The last time I gave a sample they said I was extremely dehydrated. So I have been chugging water which seems to have really helped all the problems I was having. Just something to think about because we focus so much on food. I was literally only using the bathroom twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. So I am actively forcing fluids now. Hopefully that will resolve the issue once and for all... (Hope you enjoyed that bit of TMI!) My hair loss has finally stopped! It was weird it’s sort of just all fell out at once and then stopped immediately. So I got my hair highlighted and I feel pretty now. I have been trying to increase my calories and stop the weight loss. I gained a pound in the last couple of days and that’s exciting. Between the dehydration and the (almost) scary weight loss- it was a little concerning. I’m starting to feel better now though. Nice checking in on everyone! Hope everyone is well. -
Ughhh...Attempted going back to work this morning. Was feeling good n ready. That is until I started commuting. Went up a flight of stairs to catch the train n I had instant dizziness. And no, I don't believe it was due to my surgery. It was due to the dreaded 'woman monthly visit'. Ughhh....How horrific! It got progressively worse. As I got nearer, I got dizzier n dizzier. Then the nausea kicked in. Haven't even had nausea with the surgery! Finally had to call my supervisor as I was 10 minutes away n tell her I couldn't go in YET AGAIN. I could hardly get the words out I was having coldsweats and feeling completely faint. I tried to avoid scheduling my surgery around this time but I also wanted it ASAP so I couldn't put it off. Sorry if this is TMI, guys!

Okay. This isnt for me. I guess I'm hoping the men speak up here too. My husband and I have both been overweight most of our time together. I've always had the sex drive. Unfortunately my hubby's has been getting fewer and farther in-between. Here I'm 3 months out, down 60 pounds and we've been together ONCE since surgery!!!! Once!! About 2 months ago. My hubby's weight is about 290. How much would that weight affect his libido?
-
I have been dizzy too. I'm not sure why. I've gotten between 85-90 grams of protein in everyday since Thursday. It's odd though, when I go more than about 3-4 hours between protein, I get nauseous and weak feeling. My blood sugars are still not coming down yet, that's frustrating! I guess I expected to be feeling much better than I am by now; I still have very little energy! Ugh! Oh and TMI, I know, but I have this horrid smell coming from me! I'm wondering if I'm in ketosis, but I can't seem to bathe enough or brush my teeth enough and it doesn't want to go away... yuck! Sorry, but I can't handle odors well, specially when they're coming from me and I know I'm a clean person!
