Day 3 of the liquid diet.. things are going well so far. It's fairly hard..but not has hard as it would be if I didn't have options. I think I bought just about everything on the list that I could have..from diet arizona tea to sugar free Jell-O and pudding to sugar free popsicles!! LoL..I knew monotony would be a downfall if I didn't give myself all the options I could. Hope everyone has a great weekend!! =)

I am betting you feel extremely better within a week! as you know I had my lap band the same day as you - this was my 4th surgery to my abdomen via laproscopic. My port hurts when I turn a certain way and the smallest burp bubbles are uncomfortable, other then that I am not hungry and holding down clear and milky proteins. I pray you feel better real soon!

Re: your question on protein shakes...My doctor recommended Meditrim and I ordered them directly from the company. I didn't really like them much and ended up with 7 extra boxes! Too bad you're not in Calgary or I would give them to you.

Sorry, I just saw your comment on my board, I didn't even check it! I use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein. I have actually used it before when I did P90x with my husband (for a brief time of course lol) And I am so glad that you added me as a friend!! Good luck with your surgery! Thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery!

Doing well so far on the Dukan diet but as with all diets I do not know how long I can keep this up as you do have to without most of the things you enjoy eating but I do believe it is a good preperation for when Iam banded as Iam eating much smaller meals and very focused on my protein content and no salt and low fat low calorie diet so I should be in good shape for life on the band

Day 5 doing pretty good. Wish someone could share what and how they ate on the 2 week Pre opp diet?
For some reason I seem to be holding fluid more and wondering if anyone knows if the protein shakes can cause any of this?
