  1. Now 10 months post op and down 109lbs from my peak. Calories are edging higher now in the 1200-1600 range. With respect to meals my brain feels totally retrained on how much to eat. My challenges are sugar and slider food which is extremely calorie dense but not offering the same restriction. Below is my weekly chart to give everyone a sense of what the rate of loss looks like. Still not exercising as much as I should which is the last thing hindering my progress. I am quite good at making excuses not to do actual exercise and much prefer things activity based.
  2. I am now 10 days post op and I am down 16lbs. I had an allergic reaction to the glue my doctor used so I am still sore and trying to keep moving to not get stiff.

  7. Had my EGD today. One of the nurses taking care of me said she had gastric bypass 10 years ago. She looked awesome. It was great to see someone with long-term success. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. My life is WONDERFUL

    JUST PLAIN WONDERFUL

I am 10 weeks post op today. I have lost 43 pounds!

I walk 3-5 miles daily and I have picked up Hoola Hooping! I am on a dang roll and I love it.

SO HAPPY I GOT THE SLEEVE!

Sorry I have been absent on here but I really have made it a point to take care of ME. My exercise time is precious so I have to get it in before working or anything else.

I wish there was MORE than WORDS to express to you just how wonderful I feel!

I even created a new blog post today! https://sabrinagoddess.com/create-a-life-that-you-love

  17. Hi all, I am a 30 year old male. I previously had a gastric sleeve surgery 5 years agobut due to the massive regain of weight, I had a revision gastric bypass in February 2019. Anyways, since my lowest recorded weight and initial weight loss success in June 2019, I have since gained 7kg to date and feel like I gaining 1-2kg a week. Specifically, I have regained 6 kg since early Dec 2019 to date. Over the past 3 weeks, I have regained at least a 1kg a week. I feel like I can eat just as much, if not more, then my first gastric sleeve surgery 5 years ago. I know that the bypass is a tool only, but I am shocked in the amount I can eat and want to eat. I can easily eat a plate of pasta or a whole wrap with chips from KFC (I know I should be eating healthy and not these type of foods, but it is easier said than done!). On a normal day, I drink at least 5 cans of sugar free coke zero and at least a box of paddlepop icecream. I'm super addicted to sweet and sugary food and I know this is the issue. My issue is I pretty much have to eat sweet sugary food. Luckily and thankfully, I am not diabetic (not that I know of anyways!) I've read stories of people who were much bigger than me who initially had the surgery who now eat a few bites and get full and they don't really ever feel like icecream and other sugary food. Yet I am always hungry and even after I eat food, I still crave sugary food. My old workmate who had the gastric sleeve never used to eat! They were never hungry or craved anything, yet I am completely the opposite. Anyways, my question is can anyone on here following their gastric bypass surgery still eat a plate of food or even close to? I just can't comprehend how following 2 surgeries without any complications (thankfully ) I still am able to eat so much food. Look forward to hearing from anyone.

  19. I’m doing quite well. I was 222 on October 1 and I was 167.5 today. My goal was to hit 155 that I now feel confident that I will hit. So 54.5 lbs down. I am 5’6” and now I have a BMI of 27. I started with a BMI of 35. I may lower the goal when I get there but I’m not sure how that will look at 55 years old. I feel so much better than I did in July at my first appointment. I was 228 then so technically I am down 61 since the summer. How are YOU doing?
  20. Yesterday was my 10th day post-op and I can honestly say that I am eating great. Yesterday morning I ate 1/8 cup oatmeal with a 1/4 cup mashed bannana in it and 2 packets of Stevia. Went down wonderfully with no discomfort. Lunch time, I ate a 4oz airfried chicken breast with lemon pepper. Dinner time, I ate 4oz Salmon with old Bay sprinkled on it and a splash of lemon with 2oz green beans. Everything is going well. I just skipped the puree stage and chew to a pulp. Can't feel my incisions anymore. No discomfort from the surgery at all. That's my update. I really hoping that everyone else is doing great as well.
  21. Hey guyssss!! I wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing! How is everyone??
  22. I am 11 days out from surgery I was cleared to start purée diet on Jan 13th 🥳 I did a weight check in today and I am down 8.4 pounds from surgery day weight! This liquid diet has been quiet a struggle for me.
