Hi everyone... I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone had their surgery done by Dr. Geiss and paid out of pocket. Do you have any idea what the procedure costs? Thanks...:eek: Jamie

Hi everybody, I am only 9 days post op and my scale says that I have already lost 12 pounds since I got home from the hospital, but I when I put my clothes on, it feels as though I am actually fatter then before I went for surgery! MY STOMACH IS HUGE! Could this be gas still? Also, my stomach has felt so sour/upset since last night and it won't go away, any suggestions on mushy foods that may settle it? I've been eating TUMS and they do nothing. Thanks...

I'm 9 days post op and all of a sudden out of the blue I'm having that "upset" feeling. Maybe it's me, but could this be from too many protein shakes??

I'm 4 days post op and I'm having problems getting in a lot of fluids. I'm thirsty and want to guzzle down my crystal light but I know I can't and I've been trying to take small sips every 10 minutes, this has become a chore and makes me feel bloated....especially the protein shakes! How much fluid can you handle at once? What should I do? Thanks everyone!

LOL... you go girl. I wish I had that problem... I'm 4 days post op and feeling like a bloated sausage, lol. I guess this is something I can look foward to once I start feeling human again.

Hi Ladies, Technically I should be a February bandster, but since I am being banded on the 27th, I figured that would be closer to March. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! Just want to wish everyone luck! :clap2: Jamie

Hi Lana, How do you feel after your first fill? Hope you're doing well. I'm so confused right now! As you know, I went for the consult with Dr. Garber 3 weeks ago, my BMI was like 38, he said I was not a candidate for surgery unless I had co morbidities, and that I should see if I have sleep apnea. Well, I went to Dr. Genevose the Pulmonologist, he discovered that I have asthma and recommended the sleep study, which I went to on Tuesday. I'm just worried that I won't be approved by Blue Cross, and I really doubt I have sleep apnea. Is asthma considered a co morbidity? I'm getting down thinking I am going through the motions and won't be approved. How long did the whole process take for you?
