Loved ur thread.! I was banded 4/6/2012.and exactly 4 days like u I became extremely hungry today.i made a soft scrambled egg and ate it.I'm supposed to be on full liquids for 4 more days.I will try not to put too much on my stomach and go back to shakes in the AM but my taste buds are still tingling from the taste of the egg.thank u for sharing.

Yes I will take it easy.I'm off for 2 weeks but I have a 3 yr old.so I'm working on relaxing :-).I will post my progress .someone will have the answer for ur issue also.:-)

Sorry I can't help u with ur issue I was just banded on 4/6/2012 but I know ur experience can help mamy of us newbies here.I hope u continue to stay on and answer questions,inform and inspire us with your long term success

Personally I would not recommend u get it at this age.I would say try a personal trainer and nutritionist first.if u get 25/26 yrs and still want it then do it.every surgery had serious risks so unless you are super Orbit or experiencing health problems if u were my daughter I'd ask u to try other things .first.

I'm also in So Cal.I live in Palmdale and spend a fair amount of time in LA.Would love to be part of a support group.I was banded on 4/6/2012.

I was banded on fri 4/6. I started thinking about it and researching 2 yrs ago.I finally did it but with 39 extra pounds.please ask and do research but don't let too many more pounds creep on u before u decide.

I Get banded tomorrow 4/6/2012 I thought it will be all excitement (I am excited) but I am also really scared ! Not about the surgery itself but life afterwards. I'm 39 and have been overweight since age 12.I keep thinking that it wont work.or WORSE what if it DOES work.not sure how exactly to describe what I'm feeling just CONFUSED !!

AGREED !! This is a SUPPORT group !! the decision to do any surgery is hard enough we don't need this here.there could have been a positive way to tell people considering WLS that there are options .the original poster was very inappropriate and we all should stop commenting and feeding into this.

I had to switch from healthnet to ppo option insurance.all the doctors say healthnet is the worse.

Thank you ! I am much better after the surgery.still worried about how I will tolerate food but I have a couple weeks for that still on clear liquids through tomorrow then back on protein shakes.:-)

I had it done this morning.I've been sipping liquids all day .my stomach is just achy no real pain but I am on top of the pain med and gas x.the worst part was coming out of anesthesia withexcrutiating shoulder pain.I thought they did the wrong operation.they said it was co2 gas from the e anesthesia they gave me meds hot pack and told me to do deep breathing to expel the gas.that lasted a couple if hours.so all in all pretty good so far :-)

Isopure protein ,more like juice full of protein.Atkins shakes need to be very cold and then they are not so bad.

I just left the hospital yes I'm certain they banded my throat also :-/ I hope it gets better for u soon and I hope I can swallow in 3 days .....

Also I have a 9 yr old and 3 yr old in the house when I started my liquid diet 2 weeks ago we filled up on sugar free jello and popsicles they love it they think it's extra treats .

I have read that some people continue the same diet after LB but my do tor said I still should stick to good lean proteins and vegetables stop eating pizza and other breast carby things and get the band tightened.:-/

I'm in this place bymyself.I was dropped off.I've been here 2 hrs doing all the pre op work.the lady next to me is telling this horrible story about a botched gastric bypass,crazy !!
