Great my friend is going through her insurance process right now she tasted my isopure and hated it I'll tell her about this.I think if ur on clear liquids u might need the sugar :-)

Many cabs are slider foods that go right through the band.u really have to get ur protein in.follow the protocol protein first,then veggies, then carb if u have room left :-)

I have not gone through that specifically but inknow that is the premise behind Atkins and other low carb high protein diets.People think it's about decreasing sugar(and it is) but more specifically it's about stabilizing insulin levels in ur body which will decrease ur cholesterol blood sugar and weight :-)

Congratulations on your bandiversaty ! I've also heard about replacing the band with a new one is that an option ?

Its starting to warm up and I'm starting to freak out about the summer and all the cool sugary calorie filled drinks !! I've never been a person to drink my calories but I was an avid diet coke drinker. Now that I can't have carbonated drinks and dont care for iced tea I'm a little stuck !! I know if I plan ahead I can make my own smoothies but what else can u do in the fast paced summertime??

I am one month banded 4/6 and have lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks since my pre op diet.I know that reading dome of the posts on here can be really scary.I am a nurse and know about good nutrition and have seen the results of bad nutrition .I did the research and decided it was best for me with my family history of diabetes and strokes.I have not had any of the post op stuff people post.no vomiting ,one day of gas pain ( not. Days or weeks) I am eating chicken, no infection .one real stuck episode which taught me how to chew.for the actual problems I wad having by not getting the band out weighed the potential problems I might encounter.so that's my short story.best of luck to u !

Im a single parent .I was in a situation last year where I made 100k .it was an elected position that involved a lot of travel and time away from my then 2 yr old.my term ended in October .I was offered a staff position in a similar organization with comparable pay about 85k but it involved just as much traveling.I turned it down. Now im making about 40k I am in the process of making a lot of adjustments and downsizing but I don't regret itmy son is 3 yrs old and I love taking him to karate and mommy and me sports etc.honestly it's a little tough but I wouldn't change it.there is a possibility for me to do comparable work without the travel at about 60k.I'm waiting on the yes! Wish me luck !!
