Trying To Get Back On Track

It's Awesome you post this and are being very honest !! I would say cut down on the liquid protein and try to eat more solid proteins. For me it makes ne full faster and stay full longer although u may not get as much protein in as u have from drinking but it should be sufficient and it can decrease thee calories and snacking !! Goodluck !:-)

    Can I Cry Now....

I understand ! I was banded 4/6/12 2 days before Easter !! Oh my God my mind was going crazy thinking about it the day before as all the meal prep was being done. I could only have clear liquids on Easter Sunday so my mom spiced up some broth. But I found that I had no appetite. And did not feel as deprived as I thought I would.Goidluck today.get creative ! :-)
  9. It may be the weight u start at also.were you over 400 lbs? It seems that heavier people lose Much faster initially that smaller people.
  10. When was ur last fill? What size band howuch in it.

    Lapband Vs. Sleeve?

Yes there are a lot of threads on this site about this.also there are charts comparing sleeve by pass and band at true results .it is very informative .Goodluck in whatever u decide ! :-) Weight loss surgery http://www.trueresul...-loss-surgeries
  13. You got it good !! I had to be on liquids.!! I wish I could have had Atkins.but keep sugar free pudding ,jello ,and Popsicles.if u can have nuts a handful of almonds usually knocks out the hungar .And Atkins has protein bars for phase one also. They are pretty good.Good luck !:-)
  14. If meat is problematic u may be eating more slider higher carb foods.make sure u get ur protein in first.

    Woo Hoo !
  16. You're welcome ! Also check out the success stories forum !
  17. Sorry ur going through that I would recommend 1.check ur fill level as others have stated. 2.eat protein first then veggies.lower your carb intake.from my experience with WW u can take in q lot of carbs and have low points.(pasta rice etc.) 3.the pouch test.I think it's time for me to do this also.:-) 4.remember Lapband is a tool.you have to work it.:-) 5.don't give up ! Goodluck !
  18. Welcome to Lapband family.!! I started my pre op 3/23/12 @339 lbs banded 4/6/12 as of 6/30/12 I have lost 43 lbs I am 296 lbs.it's still early but I have had No complications from the band.I got stuck eating too fast a couple of times but no vomiting, sliming, nothing.I have had one fill and have refused the the last 2 fills cuz I am still losing.I can eat anything but take more time with dry meat. There are litigation lawyers for everything so I wouldn't worry about that. But do take this seriously follow ur surgeons reccomendations."Most" people here will support you and root u on no matter what WLS you decided to get because we all understand that this was a really hard decision.I'm glad you were banded and took charge of your life.like I said this is family here read, ask post, someone will be here to support you or give u tough love when needed.Goidluck in your journey.:-)
  19. I think it's really a catch 22. About a 1 1/2 yrs ago I was at the mall with my then 2 yr old in the play area.Acouple was there and just looked at me and started talking about how they both had gastric bypass .it changed their life and it could change mines.I was so offended.I could see that they were just spreading the "good news" they have been where I was and wanted me ( or every obese person) to experience what they did.I proceeded to tell them that I was kinda looking into the band ,and the wife lovingly responded with people "our size" (she use to be the same size I was) the band was not good for and I should do what they did since I was even more offended now.I struck back with all the complications I knew about bypass.BUT when I left there my mind was made up about WLS. I buckled down on my research and ultimately started the band process.so even though I was offended it was the last jolt I needed to get the ball rolling. For me what I've been doing is waiting for someone to open the door to the conversation which happens a lot.they make comments like I'm so fat,or I know I shouldn't be eating this but....,then I swoop in.:-)
