I'm pre-revision from band to DS but I've used zzzquil for years. It's 50mg of diphenhydramine (benedryl) in liquid form. I actually prefer the target version to the brand name because of the taste. But they both work great. A single dose of benedryl (the pink tablet) is only 25mg of diphenhydramine.

That's what I'm getting too on August 8[emoji16]

Have you tried zzzquil? Basically it's a double dose of liquid benedryl without the cold medicine. I love it. And it's liquid.

When did you get to meet your surgeon?
SIPS in Seattle replied to JealousMuch's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I met my surgeon at my first consult and every month thereafter until he submitted for approval. My surgery is 8/8. -

Diflucan pre op?
SIPS in Seattle replied to sabrina14339's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
After my band surgery back in 2011 I had to take friggin diflucan for 5 day plus cream all over my body in every nook and cranny. Not sure what kind of antibiotics were used but yeasties exploded all over my body [emoji15] -

Not yet. My doctor said not to stock up on stuff too much since tastes change so much after surgery. I don't really recall that happening after band surgery. I've been buying sample size protein whenever I see it at the store to try it. Plus I'm getting ready to move so I'd rather not buy stuff just to move it. What are you stocking up on? -
2 Revision Denials - Hired Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy
SIPS in Seattle replied to Taunter's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Back in 2010-2011 I was denied twice for my band. Lindstrom helped with my appeals and I was finally approved. Just got my approval for revision without assistance which was shocking to me but I'm forever grateful for Lindstrom for their help back then. -

I used them too. The lady called me from Texas but I guess she's certified in Washington too. My report got held up but I think it was because she was on the process of selling her house etc etc. The whole process was easy peasy. -

Bypass Vs. Sleeve?
SIPS in Seattle replied to rebeccamason's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm going band to DS in august. My surgeon and I chose the DS because revisions tend to lose slower and the DS has a better track record when it comes to regain in the future. I'm an under 40 BMI patient with no comorbidities that count (I do have back issues and asthma). -

SIPS in Seattle replied to AceBlaque's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
My date is 8/8 they wanted to do 7/18 but I'll be in the process of moving at the end of the month so I thought it would be better to wait til august. I'm sorry did you mention who your insurance is? I tried to look back but I might have missed it. I too thought it would be a battle but I got approval the first time around. I thought it would be a battle because my band took two appeals. I'm below 40 (both times) without significant comorbidities... but it went through so fast I am still in shock. I'm hoping yours does too! -
Should I convert from my Lap Band, to the Gastric Sleeve? My band has slipped and not restricting!

Thank you, I can't wait. I'm still in shock that approval was so easy. -

I just received approval for band to DS revision. My surgeon and I chose the DS because revisions tend to lose slower and the DS has a better track record when it comes to regain. August 8th can't come fast enough! I hope whichever path you choose that you find success [emoji4] -
I have an IUD, this July will be a year. The first year there's a lot of spotting and random cramps. I haven't had a true "period" since last July.

Gallstones after 6 months of VSG - Should I take a second opinion or just get my gallbladder removed?
SIPS in Seattle replied to up4challenge's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my gallbladder out a year after banding (am currently waiting on revision) at the time I was unaware it was my gallbladder and thought I was having a heart attack. Cut to me sitting in my living room after calling 911 with all the EMTs and fire department personnel with my shirt pulled up over my head straight up free flowing no bra and like 12 guys just staring as one is putting on the stickies to check my heart.... looking back I can laugh now but then I thought I was dying. Get it removed before it really becomes an emergency. -
