These are not cheap but so good - and I've only found them online. Calcet Citrate Creamy Bites (30 Count) Surprisingly, I love the lemon even though I'm a chocoholic. Good Luck!

Lap Band Surgery Scheduled For 12/9!!!!
DRB4 replied to bfhensen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats!! -
The Faulkner meeting IS larger than the BWH meeting now and has been for quite a while. I've been trying to go to each of them because I usually always find something useful being said by someone. Plus, I like to give back to the people who are deciding what to do and help answer any questions they may have. I love being "helpful" and many of you helped me with all of my pre-surgery questions and I really appreciate that. I suggested a high protein recipe exchange like we did at the Faulkner since that was a great idea by someone. I am losing the weight very slowly now and have cycles where I'm losing great and then I eat like crazy and put most of the month's lost weight back on. I am currently filled to 8.0 and have been very fortunate to have never been stuck. I know I don't each as much as I used to but I do have a hard time keeping the sweets out of my mouth. Especially all things CHOCOLATE:) Exercising regularly is a bit hard to come by as well. I need to find some motivation, but I can't quite catch it...LOL...I'm too slow. I hope to get back out there walking now that the first heat wave is over. Thanks for listening. I hope to see everyone at the next meeting on the 8th.

Why do we need calcium supplements?
DRB4 replied to amberakamom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try Lemon Calcet Creamy Bites. They are really good:) I couldn't find a calcium citrate chewable that I could get down. This brand is like having a little treat. Be warned, these are expensive...that is the only downside for me. -
December 2010 Bandsters out there?
DRB4 replied to GardenGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on December 9th and had my first fill of 5 ccs on January 24th. I have lost 17 pounds since being banded on 12/9 and 54 pounds since I started the whole process. I felt some restriction for about 5 days after my first fill and now, not so much. I find myself eating foods that I really shouldn't be eating:( Where has my willpower gone? I too weigh myself daily and am a little obsessed with it. Luckily, I have not had any issues with food being stuck but I have not had steak, breads, rice, etc. I'm really looking forward to my second fill on the 28th. I'm ready I really enjoy reading all of the posts and the support is much needed and appreciated. Keep up the great work everyone!! ps- can someone tell me what I did wrong with my ticker...I can't get that thing to work - so tech unsavy! -
I was banded on 12/9/10 and have lost 18 pounds since surgery and 55 pounds to date. I just had my first fill on 1/24/11 and couldn't agree more...STARVING all day long. My doctor requires me to be on shakes/liquids for 2 days, then 1 day of soft (yogurt, etc) and then reintroduce foods slowly. I knew I would be hungry, but not this hungry. I can't wait to have some real food:)

Hi All, I was banded on 12/9/10 and I'm on Stage 3 which is mushies. I started my journey at 291 lbs in July and then lost 37 before surgery and now I'm down to 244 lbs. I have had terrible mid to lower back pain and lots of gas. I can live with the gas but I haven't been able to find a common culprit on why this back pain flares up when it does. Will this back pain go away? I need to know there is hope as this is the only real problem I'm encountering. If anyone has any knowledge to share I'd love to hear from you. Thanks:)

Hoping that today I stay on track. I find it much harder on the weekends to keep up on the fluid and food intake.

I wish you well with this difficult position. Only you know what is right for you & just how much you can tolerate. Best of luck!

Okay, tomorrow is my big day! I'm both excited and scared . The pre-op diet that I worried so much about wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. The fact that I had to lose 29 pounds before surgery sure helped get in the right frame of mind to be faithful with it. I now find myself worrying about the surgery itself...that is goes well and with no complications. Trying to keep a positive attitude for the recovery process. May all other December Bandsters be well!

I have been approved and scheduled for surgery on December 9th. I'm excited but have recently become a little nervous as well as my date is fast approaching. I have only told my immediate family and my boss. I'm not sure if I will tell anyone else about this choice. I am most nervous about the 2 week pre-op diet - the will power needed to do that successfully. Wishing all other December bandsters well!! We CAN do it!
