While I am not a fan of Protein shakes but this one works for me: 1 cup milk, 1 scoop of chocolate Protein powder, 1 TBSP Peanut Butter, 1/2 banana, and 2-3 ice cubes. Blend and yum! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Trouble finding a variety of foods I can eat well...
hopefully soon replied to butterfly40's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
String cheese wrapped with a turkey slice, pinto Beans with cheese and a little taco sauce, Peanut Butter on whatever u can tolerate, "mock lasagna" which is ricotta cheese with pizza sauce and mozzarella in a little crock and baked about 10-15 minutes (yummy) and I added some turkey pepperoni once I could tolerate it. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Even at 4+ years, I still have trouble with raw veggies! And yep, we do get that reminder to chew to smithereens when we have those stuck episodes don't we!?!? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I also make a "morning shake" which includes milk, a scoop of chocolate Protein powder, a tablespoon of Peanut Butter, half a banana and a couple ice cubes. Tastes yummy and has about 30-35 grams of protein depending on your powder Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

If u like using Protein bars, Quest bars are the best! 190 calories with 21 G protein and only 4 net carbs Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Totally with you. Used to sleep about 6 hours and be fine now I get 7-7 1/2 and I'm still dragging most of the day. Struggle to stay awake past 9:30 but force myself to stay up till at least 10:15. I take supplements too including the same as you, recent labs came back fine. Maybe it's just age but I too am four years out and know I need to do better with protein intake.

QUESTION: What Foods Can You No Longer 'Stomach'?
hopefully soon replied to HelloGoodbye's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Pork chops/roast are no go, after getting stuck then sick three times, I cut them out completely. Salad is hit and miss. Untoasted bread is out too. Everything else is good if its chewed to smithereens -

This is more for the old bandsters (but anyone can answer)
hopefully soon replied to Outdoorman111's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can't eat pork chops at all! Otherwise most anything although untoasted bread or buns can be tough so i usually avoid them. Like most others, as long as the bites are small and I chew to smithereens, I can usually eat whatever I want, except the pork chops lol (gave up on those after three stuck episodes early on) -

Good for u!!! -
Sounds like typical week for me, band is quite finicky isn't it? I have been really focused lately on making sure the bites are small and chewing really really good. It seems that the issue for me is letting myself get too hungry. Empty tummy seems to let the band tighten up then even one bite too big or not chewed enough leads to stuck. So now I am getting stuck less. Also I wait about an hour or so before eating breakfast since the bands seems tight in the early am. I have chosen to keep my current fluid (6.5 cc in 10 cc band). Good luck!
