    Too Tight?

    I don't really know, but I have days where I can just tell I am too tight. I think hormones play a part. I have heard of people who all of a sudden become too tight and have to have fluid removed. Something obviously changes but not sure what.

    Unfill For Convience????

    I can enjoy a Thanksgiving or Christmas feast and be just as satisfied as I used to be. It's funny I used to worry about missing out on things like these special days but it really just seems the same to me now. MMMMMM love Holiday dinners!!! I don't worry about getting stuck, I rarely get stuck anymore cuz I finally "learned". But when I am at a special event or out for dinner in a restaraunt I am very very careful about my bites and chewing. (learned the hardway) Besides... it's the Cookies you got to look out for!!! And they go down weather you are tight or lose!

    Breads ????

    i buy those thin bagles. they are super thin and i think 100 calories. I have never gotten stuck eating one of them. I toast them for a sandwich or put a little garlic and "spray butter" on them and krisp them up in the oven for garlic bread. mmmmm also a pita pocket is a good choice. I can do most breads toasted.

    Please Help!

    Try strength training. I went almost 16 weeks and could not lose a pound. I ate healthy and exercised daily... my dietitian suggested changing up my exercise and wanted me to try a "body pump" class. It's easy, anyone can do it. you work with 2, 5 and 10 pound weights. It made all the difference for me, I still do cardio in there too but I think the strenght training was just what I needed. Give it a try!

    The Good And Bad

    I would do it again in a heartbeat only sooner. I batted the idea around for almost 3 years before I committed. I had some discomfort for a couple of days after surgery but not bad. Day 4... I felt great! I have not had any problems or complications. I am able to eat anything as long as I eat it slow enough and take small enough bites a of course chew chew chew. That being said, I try really hard to make healthy choices and leave things like bread and Pasta (and sweets of course) alone except for occassionally. Best choice I've ever made. I've been overweight since I was a child, I'm now 49. I've tried every diet under the sun and after 30 pounds.... I just would put it back on. The band takes commitment. It is not easy but it is very doable. Get educated about how it "really" works, that's the best advice I could give you! Good Luck

    Bone To Pick!

    You can fail with any of the WLS. Many people do, you are right... you have to make changes. with all of them or you will fail. So Glad I picked the band. I'm losing weight and I am healthy! Best of Luck to you!

    The "easy" Way Out...

    Well... they drive a car, use a vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, washing machine. There are certainly the good old fashioned hard work ways to doing all these things but some genius invented items that make our lives easier.... so why is a weight loss tool any different. When they start beating their laundry on a rock, then I'll listen. People are soooo judgemental, but really... it's ignorance. Keep up the good fight ladies!

  18. yes... .2 cc can make all the difference in the world, however the band does not and will not do all the work. It still takes exercise, eating right and self control. That being said the band is a fickle device. The refill could be totally different that from before, it is definately trial and error. Best of Luck to you.
  19. Eat Healthy Food. If you are hungry and can't stick to 1 cup of food you need to make healthy choices. You gained 14 pounds in 2 weeks? Why are you taking fluid out of your band ?

    Tire Of Treadmill

    I started on the treadmill then went to the elliptical. the first time on the elliptical i went 6 minutes and about died. I can go an hour now, but I have gotten bored with it too. Now I am all about the classes at the gym. Zumba and Pump it are the 2 I go to. I just love the classes. so much fun, an amazing workout and the time goes by soooooo quickly. I was a little gun shy at first with the zumba thing... but it's a blast. You're huffing and puffing so hard and trying to follow you don't even notice the other people in the room! LOVE IT!

    Oh, it absolutely could be!!! So odd that they show up in so many pictures of your son. Do you ever see them in other pictures that your son is not in?
  22. I try to go to the gym for an hour 5 - 6 days a week. (We have a new wellness center that opened just this week - is is simply AMAZING. Left me speachless when I walked in.) Anyway I vary between and hour of Zumba or Body Pump and if I can't make it to the gym for one of these class' I usually do 45 minutes on the elliptical machine. The first time I got on the elliptical I went 6 minutes and just about died. I can do 45 easy now. Amazing what exercise will do for you. Lots of my aches and pains have gone away and when I have those stints where I don't exercise (sshhhhh) I usually don't lose. As far as food, I'm a calorie counter. Altho, I do only eat about 1 cup of food at a meal. Typical Breakfast : Greek Yogurt Lunch: salad with leftover protien from night before or I like chicen salad on a piece of toast or with crackers. Once in a while Soup or chili or a lean cusine. Supper: 3 oz of protien, I don't have problems eating any meat so I eat everything from fish, pork, steak, hamburger, chicken. I always have about 1/2 cup of veggies with my protien and once in a while I will throw in a potato but not always. I also like just my protiens with a really yummy salad loaded with fresh veggies. mmmmmm When I snack I try to eat a yogurt or cheese sometimes a 100 calorie pack of Cookies or a snackwell protien bar. I also enjoy an occassional 45 cal fudgesicle or a weight watchers dark chocolate raspberry ice cream bar. I only buy them occassionally because when they are in the house i eat one every night till they are gone. But, like I said, I am a calorie counter. If it fits in my 1200 limit, it's ok.
