  1. I am so glad to hear things are going good for you. I have been on a slow, but steady weight loss since November. Unfortunately, I have no restriction with my band. Like you said, I can eat a entire Weight Watchers frozen dinner, and be hungry 3 hours later. My band is a Realize band, and should only hold 11 cc. According to the records, I should have 11.5 cc in my band. Since February they have been unable to pull back out all that should be in there. Next month, if they still are unable to get all 11.5 CC out I am to go in for a fill under contrast. They are thinking possible leakage... I am actually thinking that might not be a bad idea at this time, this is getting costly going in for a fill every 2- 3 weeks and no results. I realize it wasnt going to happen overnight, but 7 fills. That is a little much! I enjoy reading other stories, success, and struggles, keep up the great work!
  2. Hello fellow November bandsters. My surgery was Nov 10, 2010. To date I have lost 38 pounds, and I am good with that. I have had 4 fills in my band, and now have 8.5 cc. Unfortunatley I have no restrictions, and am set to go for fill # 5, April 10. I have been exercising 3xs a week for the past 5 months. The first hour is strictly cardio, elliptical, treadmill, and walking. I typically get in 4 miles in the first hour. The second hour is a kettlebell class. I know this workout has gotten me to where I am today. Like most of you, I am happy with the physical changes in my body, and am happy to see size xl. I have tried to stay positive, and know eventually I should get some restriction in my band, but honestly 5 fills? I could really appreciate my band "kicking in " to help me, as this is where I usually lose interst in my weight loss, and slip back to my old ways. I enjoy reading this post and am happy so many of you have had success. Missprin
  3. Prior to my surgery I have been working out with a personal trainer who pushes me beyond my comfort zone, and taking a kettleball class. I have noticed changes in my arms in the 3 weeks I have been taking the class. There are a lot of workout videos you can buy and do the workout at home, for a small price. I think it is a awsome workout- especially for the arms:) Can't wait for my 4 weeks to heal so I can go back.
  4. Had my surgery 11-10-10 and am to only have clear liquids for 1 week. So far I am doing ok with sugar free juice, protein water, and broth. Had some gas pain in my shoulder, but have made myself walk 2 blocks 5 or 6 times a day since surgery. Ultimatley, feeling good, not "hungry" yet, and cant imagine clear liquids for that long. I am looking forward to my MuscleMilk Light RTD in only 4 days. Good Luck to you. Missprin
  5. Had my LAP-BAND® surgery today in Boise Id. Has great care from SLRMC and Dr. Valentine. I did end up having a hernia repair also, but am feeling great. Was only at the hospital for a total of 6 hours. Have been able to sip, and go to the bathroom. I have a little bit of pain at port sight, but really feel GREAT.
  6. My surgery is also scheduled for November 10. My doctor only has me do the liquid diet for 24 hours prior to surgery, and then an all clear liquid diet the next 7 days. I have really cut back on carbs and caffeine. I am more concerned about losoing coffee and diet coke . This blog business is all new to me, but I would love to connect with those having surgery on the same date/month.
