HI! I am currently awaiting a return phone call from the weight loss center to schedule a pre-op appointment. I am still going back & forth on whether to have this procedure done or attempt AGAIN to lose the weight on my own but if the past is any indication it will all come back plus more! I am a stay at home mom of 7 kids...yes you read it right 7! We are a family of yours, mine & ours all under the same roof so exercise is hard to come by and eating right with a very active busy schedule with kids is really rough. I am hoping to hear other people's opinion on the pro & con's of the surgery and I am just hear for a support system and some cheerleaders along the way also that are reaching their goal weight!I had lost 84 pounds 7 years ago and was at my thinnest and then a divorce followed, remarriage, three extra kids in the house & then 2 pregnancies 18 months apart so I have gained it all back and then some. The beginning of this year I started a vigourous exercise and lost 40 pounds in 2 months (the wrong way by starving & exercising) then was put in the hospital with thyroid issues and it all crept back on and here I sit waiting for that phone to ring to cross the threshold in to lap banding for a new life and a positive outlook! I am tired of looking & feeling this way and I want to have the energy to keep up with my kids and for me to be proud of accomplishing my goal weight and for my kids to be proud of their mother as well!
