Hi, I'm John, I'm 51 yrs old, have just booked my surgery for 17th November 2010 in Marbella, Spain, saw the surgeon for first time on 7th October and went through procedure, pitfalls, understanding of consequences etc. and am ready to do this thing, which I wouldn't have dreamed of a few years ago.  Being an old school Welshman, my ethos was that surgery was something you only had if you were about to die !!  It's taken some time to get my head around to realising that by doing this I am actually saving my life,  just wish I could have done it the 'ordinary' way of dieting and excercise.  I have done that over the years - getting to my goal as expected and feeling great,  but slipping back every time for another number of years of being miserably fat.  So ok, this is the big step, I want to LIVE and enjoy the feeling of being healthy, so thank you all for being here and good luck in your aspirations.
