    Need my sugar fix

OMG I LOVE those Atkins PB low carb cups! They are kinda pricey but I have one just about every day after lunch. Satisfies my sweet tooth (which I have just about every day) and not too high in carbs/calories if you are mindful the rest of the day and exercise.
  9. I used to weigh myself EVERY day and it drove me crazy . . .especially during that time of the month . . . but I took a break and now I do it often but try not to do it everyday. I think everyone has given advice. Your weight will fluctuate naturally day to day. Try to use other means to measure how you are doing. For a while I wasn't losing much but I jumped a clothing size. I don't quite understand it but as long as the scale EVENTUALLY moves . . .I'm happy. And it's been moving lately. Try not to let it discourage you . . . and I know that's easier said than done. I go through it every single month.

    Today is my SURGIVERSARY!!!

    Congrats to you!!
  11. Okay, it's been 3 months (as of yesterday) and just thought I'd do a quick update on here. Day of surgery I was 285 and yesterday I weighed in at 240. Seems like just yesterday I was wondering what it would be like to be on the "losers bench" . . . it's not easy but it's working. A lil' impatient to get to the finish line but I know it'll take time. I don't do measurements or inches lost, but I started in a size 22/24 and am getting into 16/18's now.
  12. Oh and correction . . . down 45 lbs (typo post heading said 46) . . well who knows maybe 46 by now. But 21 lbs was pre surgery, and 45 by 3 months.
  13. Thanks everyone! Mommy2girls . . . nice to know I'm on "track". Feels like I'm a slow loser, but looks like I'm right with you. Keep up the good work

    One Year Later

Congrats! so inspiring! Good luck on your first of many to come 5Ks
  19. Day of surgery my BMI was 46. 2 months post surgery I had a loss of 35 lbs. I am now 11 weeks out and am down 41 lbs. I feel like my weight loss is a little slow. But I'm happy nonetheless. My tickler below reflects the 21 lbs I lost pre surgery Also off the topic I feel like I can eat way MORE than the average "sleever'. Went to a support group at Kaiser last night and a friend of mine can not even eat 1 scrambled egg. Where as I can eat 1 scrambled egg, 2 pieces of turkey bacon and 1/2 a piece of toast! yikes! . . . such a big difference and we are both 11 wks post surgery.
  20. Congrats! I know that has to feel wonderful! Good job!
