Started with a band almost 10 years ago and went from about 229 to 211. Dropped another 11 pounds, stalled. Never thought my insurance would cover a conversion to bypass, but it did. Got the by-pass 12/9/16 and stayed in the hospital for 4 nights, went home, had a blockage 2 days later. Back in hospital, another small surgery, 3 nights, and home. No problems since.
I am glad that I had the surgery, but wish I had been more informed about the emotional roller coaster that follows after. IT IS NORMAL. So glad I am on this path.
Diabetes resolved, blood pressure much better. Weight loss progress is slow, but I am on track.
