  1. Dear All, I was banded on 3 November 2010 and to date have lost 16.5kg's which happens very erratically to say the least. My first month after banding was my biggest loss of 9kg's but since then it has been extremely painstakingly slow! I want to know whether anyone else is struggling the same way or am I doing something wrong. I have 7ml in a 10ml band currently and dont get hungry much at all. I currently do not have Breakfast, I have a skinny latte (half strength) at about 11am and another around 1pm, I have lunch at about 2.00pm which normally consists of a tin of Sweet Chilli Tuna (Greenseas) and about six slices of cucumber. dinner I have around 7pm usually what the family eats, vegies and a Protein (either chicken or fish) not a large portion as I eat off a lapband plate. I have done the C25K programme and this has helps with toning which I am really pleased with and generally either run or do weights each day for approximately 30 minutes. Can anyone shed any light on what I am doing wrong. Thanks for any input. Regards Zimbo
  2. Hi All Bandsters I had my band on 4th November 2010 and it went really well the first month, the second month i lost about 4kgs but since then I seem to be really struggling to lose weight, I only eat breakfast/lunch at about 11.20am which consists of usually a yoghurt or sometime scrambled eggs and then I usually have lunch at about 2.00pm which consists of a tin of tuna and some salad and then dinner at about 8pm which consists usually of a meat and veg or salad. I do have a few biscuits on occassions at about 5pm on weekends which I know is not a good thing! I do think that I have restriction as everyone talks about and I have had a few episodes of bringing up like frothy like siliva and I think that is more when larger pieces of food get stuck and wont go down. Is this all normal and I would love some suggestions as to how to get the weight loss moving downwards again. Thanks to all Zimbo

    gday from Perth...

Dear All. I am new to this forum as am due to have my band fitted on 3/11/2010. Excited, nervous and anxious all together but trying to find out as much as possible prior to the operation. Trying to find out what to expect straight after the operation, what to eat etc. If anyone has any hints or suggestions, please feel free to offer them.
  5. Dear all, I am new to this Thread so please bear with me. It is wonderful to read all the success stories and loving the encouragement that you all give each other. It makes it much easier to get through the operation. I have my first appointment with Dr Stephen Watson on Friday 22/10/2010 and much say am really looking forward to having the operation. I am currently 94Kgs so hoping that he will agree to do the surgery for me. I am really hoping that he will be able to do the operation within a couple of weeks of the initial appointment. Can anyone shed any light on what tests are going to be needed and how soon after the first appointment he usually does the surgery. Look forward to hearing from you all. Good to be on board. Regards Zimbo
