Hi there. I have my first appointment to see a surgeon for gastric banding on October 25th 2010 in Melbourne, Australia. I am very nervous but very excited. I need to lose approx 40 kilograms (88 pounds). I'm curious to know how much weight people have lost using a lapband and how long it has taken them to lose weight. Also, do you think I can get away with doing secretively. I'm only planning to tell my immediate family. What are your experiences with keeping this secret? I just plan on telling people I'm strictly following a diet and excercise regime. What do you think?
