After my last baby, at the age of 40, I got really scared when I could not lose any weight.  I weighed 250 pounds and decided to try the Lap-Band.  With no health insurance, I decided to go to Dr. Sanchez (now deceased) in Mexico.  I paid for my fills in Dallas and got down to 190.  My band slipped two years ago but I have not gained weight back, thank God!!  The only alternative was to re-do surgery.  I have had no problems with slippage, other than excessive burping, until now.  The port is leaving my with bruising on my side and it hurts.  Needless to say, no dr. here will take me as a patient.  I have two more years of school before I go to work as a school teacher and can get insurance.  I am not sure what to do at this point.
