Insurance Will Cover 100% Of Lap Band Surgery United Health Care “choice Plus”
Amanda1982 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In November I upgraded my insurance from United Health Care “Choice” to “Choice Plus” My only reason for doing this was that the out of pocket max was $2500 with choice and $2000 with choice plus. What I did not realize is that with “Choice Plus” the band is covered at 100% instead of 08/20. I put $2000 in medical spending account to pay for this and now I only have to pay $100 to the hospital. I guess I’ll use the remaining $1900 on dental work and post-op copays…YAY -
Good Luck you can do it

Congratulations to everyone who will or have completed their 60 Miles in September. I know for me it really moved the scale. Well get ready because I want to do this again in October. For those of you who do not know, this challenge is for EVERYONE who does any type of walking (I prefer Leslie Sansone Walk Away the pounds) just add your ticker like mine (see below) and update it as well as this forum when you've completed 1..2..3..miles ect.(See the September Walk Challenge for examples). The challenge starts October 1st and ends October 31st so that gives us 31 days to get 60 miles done. CAN WE DO IT AGAIN!!!!

Okay ladies when I exercise, my hair is drenched with sweat the process to straighten my relaxed hair after I work out takes 2 hours. Wash, deep condition for 30 min. Roller or wet set ( dry under a hooded dryer for 1 hour to reduce the amount of heat I use on my hair) and then flat iron. How are you doing it? I think I'm going to have to cut back my work out to 3 days a week and make those my wash days since we're not supposed to wash every day due to dryness. Any advice would help.I am a member of this site Healthy Textures and they give really good advice on hair care but my situation being banded and having to work out regularly is somewhat different.

Do you use a digital scale or a balance beam scale?
Amanda1982 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm really annoyed lol.....My home digital scale has said that I haven't lost a pound in 3 weeks which is ok becasue the inches are really coming off thanks to these 60 Mile walk challenges . So this morning I weighed myself in the nude after my morning trip to the bathroom before I worked out. The digital scale did said I'd lost 2 pounds, so I was like great things are moving again. Well today at work we had an Health Assessment where we were all weighed and had our blood pressure checked. The balance beem scale (I was fully dressed and had on all my clothes) said I was 6 lbs less if anything I thought I would be more than what I weighed in at this morning. (I was like WHAT...is my scale playing tricks on me, or are balance beam scales less accurate that digital scales? -
What's your big reward?
