    Thank you for your post. I have decided to go to Doctor Ortiz in Mexico to get the Lap-Band. My BMI is low and in the US not many surgeons are allowed to do that.

    I am considering to go to Mexico and having doctor Jose Rodriguez do my surgery at the Angles hospital in TJ, Mexico. Has anyone used this doctor for LAP-BAND ? Has anyone had terrible complications such as sever vomiting, band slipping, etc post surgery? I live in California are there any fill centers here that would take LAP-BAND patients that did their procedure in Mexico?

    Dear Doctor Feiz, My BMI is 30, which is considered low for insurance covering the cost of the surgery. However I am on appetite suppressant and as soon as I stop taking them, I gain all the weight back. I have sever joint and back pain because of being over weight and sleep apnea. Is there a surgeon in northern or southern California that can help me have Lap Band procedure done?
