I hope this is just the beginning of a very happy story. Iam a 68 year old retired guy. My weight has been on a roller coaster most of my life. I have tried every diet you can imagine including Opti-fast, Weight Watchers, Pritikin. On opti-fast I lost 113 ponds, felt really great until it came to the "re-feeding" phase of the program. As proud and happy as I was at 200 lbs., I just couldn't believe that I was weak enough to just start eating again. I seem to level off at about 330 and have been around that weight for years. I had a coronary artery blockage in 2001, fortunately with no damage to the heart muscle. But it did scare me and, ONCE AGAIN, I lost about 60 pounds. My doctors were delighted but not so much delighted when I gained it back.Where am I now? My wife recently said to me, "I hate to see youo on any kind oa diet at your age, it might kill you" So, right now I am torn between "just staying fat", going on a diet, or something new and more severe. I will be doing a lot of research and any advice and assistance would be appreciated.
