I was banded on 10/4 and yesterday I felt great and today I feel awful!! I woke up feeling tight and having the gas like pains in my chest and a terrible headache. I am so tired today too!! I am trying to just be a big girl and suck it up, but If I feel like this tomorrow I am calling the Doctor!!

Thank you all for your support!! Just knowing that others have gone thru this makes me feel better. I was really worried when they told me it had flipped. Then I was even more worried about how I was goning to deal with this tightness...... I am scheduled for a port revision on 10/28, and I am feeling alot better today FINALLY!!!!! I was able to finally have some full liquids, and they were so delicious!!! lol!! I have lost 25 pounds since 9/3/10. I can't wait to start getting life together with my new friend!!! (my Lapband) lol :smile2::thumbup:

:crying:Hi I had my surgery on Monday 10/4/10 and I thought I had just been feeling gas pains and discomfort from the gas. On Friday evening I started vomiting. I only did maybe 3 times, but that was enough for me. I woke up on Saturday morning just not feeling well, so I went to the ER.:puke: I was dehydrated, and the Lapband Docs were called in because my band is too tight. So they took me back to take some fluid out and could not do it!! Two Docs tried and neither could access the port. They finally decided my port had flipped over???? SO they gave me some more anti nausea meds and a steriod injection to try and get some of the swelling down. I was told to crush all my meds and drink only warm clear liquids. They told me they are going to have to go back in and fix the port... So I was sent home and I am extremely uncomfortable and sick to my stomach. I have my 2nd post op tomorrow and I guess that is when they are going to tell me when the next surgery will be. As odd as it sounds I still have no regrets, and Just consider this a bump in the road but I am so ready to feel better and heal!!!:crying::crying:

Well they called in the Lapband Docs and they tried both unsuccessfully to access my port. They found out my port had flipped over???? Not sure how and so now I am just trying to deal with it and I go back tomorrow for a post op and possibly a pre op....They said they are going to have to go back in to re attach the port.

I was and am still feeling this same way I had my surgery done 10/4 and finally yesterday 10/9 I couldn't take it anymore. What I thought was gas is actually being too tight!! You might want to check with your doctor! Good Luck

:smile:Hi my name is Cristy I just had lapband done on Monday 10/4. I am so happy i finally got it done. I am having problem with the gas. It is stuck in my chest and feels like really bad heartburn, It makes me want to cry. I have been getting up and walking, drinking warm fluids, and doing my incentive spirometer, and it is still there. It is frustrating cuz it hurts so bad. I havent tried the gas x yet but I am going to get some today. I still have no regrets about the surgery and I am very excited to get better and start seeing and feeling results!!!

Did that help? I am day 4 post op and still having terrible pain in my chest I am assuming that it is gas It hurts so bad I tried gas x today and that didn't help at all

Hi I am an October Lapbander too!! My surgery was on Monday 10/4. I am 4 days post op. The only problem Iam really having is the gas. I am having terrible heartburn. I have been getting up and walking and trying to burp but it hurts so bad!! I have no regrets though I am so excited!!! Good Luck to all the Octoberbanders!!!! Cristy :biggrin:
