  1. I am 1yr post surgery and find that I am very sensitive to fills. I am frustrated because I am living on ice chips and cannot seem to get past it. It is like a terrible cycle ~ get a fill, stay sick ~ get some taken out, I eat more than I should!! I am at a loss! I am meeting with a nutrionist next week but just wanted to know if anyone else has these problems?

    Stress and Banding

I am 10 months in to my banding and have done well, I think. To date, I have lost 82 lbs!! However, I am extremely sensitive to fills. I had a fill in the beginning of June, and did well but did have some episodes if I ate or drank to quickly. Since that fill, I have had a lot of stressfull situations come up and notice I really could not keep anything down except liquids. I went to my dr on Friday and had some fluid removed and was able to drink water before I left. This weekend, I have had problems keeping foods down and i feel like my stomach is irritated. I think I really need do some more homework on life and eating after banding. But until then, does anyone have any ideas that may help. I am thinking I need to start fresh with a liquid diet and go from there but not sure. Has anyone had issues like this before?
  3. I got my second fill yesterday. I assumed it would be a lot like my first ~ nothing ~ but I was wrong. I am sticking with the soups and soft food but I have to take it REAL SLOW!!! I get a pain in my chest area and feel like I need to strech out and let it go down. I am not sure if this is normal ~ just me having to learn how, what, why and when of the eating pattern or did I possibly get too much this fill. On my first fill, I got 1cc and I think it was 1.5 cc yesterday. Just wondering if anyone else has felt like this. I have not had any episodes of vomitting thus far in my journey and would think that if I had to much in my band, this would be an immediate action. I do not even feel like I need to vomit, just a pain that resembles indigestion. Any feed back would be welcomed!!

    Post Op Struggles

Hi, I am 11 days post op and I am so confused about everything!! I have read and read and read everything that has been given to me but for some reason, I am having a hard time with this 2nd post op week. Day 7, I finally felt the first initial hunger pain and it really has not subsided much since then. I have tried to stick with the all liquids but must confess that I have given in to some mashpotatos, scrabled eggs, grits and soup. I try not to do it often but I have some how found I keep pushing the envelope. I really want to succeed with this and I am scared that I have already damaged a good outcome for myself from the "cheating" I have done. I am having a real hard time with getting enough water in my day and I know that I need to up my protien. Could this be contributing to the hunger? I am just at a loss for words with myself right now. I have a meeting with my doctor tomorrow morning and I dont know should I share that I have had cheating episodes or just start freash and go from there. Has anyone else felt this way?:puke::crying:

    Post Op Struggles

Thank you so much for the in put I am on stage 2 and going into stage 3. So I really think that I have not done any damage to the band ~ just to myself mentally!! After posting this, I decided to get out and go for a walk. I am going to be honest with my doctor tomorrow and hope he can give me some great advice. I am interested in the shakes you get from Costco. I have been doing Atkins shakes and Boost but I have been supplementing with some whey protien shots ~ that have 26 grams in each tube but it would be better to have one option to get the protien in!!
