I am fat because of crappy food choices and lack of excercise. Fast food, drive thru's, sweets, snacking at my desk. BUT....in four days it will be all over, whooo-hooooo:bounce:

I'm a little upset today:mad:, I asked my DF what he REALLY thought my having this surgery and he had the nerves to say, " I think your taking the easy way out" I am soooooo tired of explaining myself to him, I just give up. He has no idea what it is to be overweight, he's 6"1 and 180lbs, not an ounce of fat anywhere, his mom is thin and so is his brother. He says, just take a walk every morning and you'll lose the weight on your own. If it were that easy I'd have a body like Beyonce. Sorry if I'm rambling, he just really ticked me off,:angry grrrrrrr

My CPAP machine was delivered yesterday, I slept with it last night and my FH said I did not snore one little bit:clap2:, which is really good because I sound like a buzz saw. I did feel somewhat refreshed this morning I must say. Those of you with the machine, has it made a big difference for you?

Holy Crap pierce... that was horrible. I went to a info session with Dr. Horgan before he moved to California. I was gonna go with them, I'm glad I didn't .

I attended the seminar in May & then I met with Dr. Bonomo and he gave me my surgery date that same day. The tests I had had done the following months were, the sleep study, polumanary breathing test, ekg, chest x-rays, blood work,psych, nutritionist, a few other I can't remember right now. Also you have to attend a weekly meeting every Tuesday. I know it seems like a lot, but it is so worth it. I thought July would never get here, but here my surgery date is right around the corner. A few of the ladies there were referred from the University of Chicago, they take medicaid, but the waiting list there is 1yr to get a surgery date. So make sure you keep checking back.

Take a look at the FAQ's and References. There is an entire thread on what you will need. I jotted down some things from there last night and went shopping for them today. Such as Gas-X, etc.

Wow.. you guy's post faster than speeding bullets around here, so much since yesterday.... anyhoo... Chimboree, what a cutie, I love that dress. Dini, I know how you feel, my fiance says he'll be there for me, but I know deep down he does not approve of my having the surgery, he says it's not necessary, blah, blah, blah. I told him, when you get to be 100lbs overweight, then, you can come back and tell me what's necessary or not....... As for the question, why am I fat? I started gaining weight when I got my 1st desk job. I can't even blame it on giving birth, 1 month after I had my daughter I was wearing a belly shirt, and that was 9yrs ago. So, when I started working, were were ordering out for luch everyday, chinese, Italian, you name it we ate it,:hungry: snacking at my desk all day, It was always someones birthday, so bring on the cake.. Not to mention my commute was about an hours drive each way, so when I got home exercise was out of the question. So then the weight starting piling on and here I am. I guess I can chalk it up to poor eating habits and lack of exercise.

Hey Shygirl.... I went to my meeting today and found out why they cancelled the seminar. Seems that Dr.Bonomo is booked until November, however there are 2 new surgeons coming aboard. Once the new Dr's are aboard they will start the seminars again, they said it shouldn't be too much longer before they start again. So, just make sure you check back with them every so often, so that you can be the 1st one in when they start back up. Hope this info helps.

Hey your surgery is one day before mine :clap2:, yaaaay. My Dr. has me on a 2 week pre-op all liquid with 1 low fat meal per day.

<p>"Better than sex".. That's funny........I do notice that I feel refreshed when I wake up and I'm not so tired and groggy when I first wake up. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.</p>

Oh,I'm sorry they cancelled your appointment. When I go to my group meeting Tuesday, I'll ask and find out what's going on. So look for a post from me Tuesday evening.
