Keep reading here to learn as much as you can and prepare your body for the big change by increasing Protein and Water. Have a happy new year dear.... oh what a wonderful year 2011 will be!

Best wishes to you on your journey! 2011 will be an amazing year for us! Drink lots of Water to help with the weight loss and that UTI...I get them often some times I don't even know I have them - I have learned to live with the pain so it's normal now.... Kim -

Thanks for asking this question... I am exactly one week after you.. next Thursday. I can hardly believe how fast time has gone by. I am too am nervous about possible pain. I think its the possible nausea and throwing up that makes me most scared. I am so afraid I will throw up and burst my staples! I know I am in Gods hands and I have faith that he will see me through! 8 till I leave for surgery! Yesterday my scale said 225.0 and this morning it says 222.0!! - Why has it been so easy for me to lose this weight now that I am having surgery? It is this my body telling me I can do this on my own? Is it my tummy saying - I will behave, please don't dissect me? Has someone been messing with my scale? I got on and off that thing 3 times and even had my husband confirm what it said

I just keep imagining what I will look like at this time next year - hard to imagine but I am sure I will be quite different not only in size but also in mental heath. Have an amazing journey! I don't have surgery until Jan 6th.....BUT now you have me worried. I am always freezing. We are having another snow storm here right now its 16 degrees and we a have had 6 inches of snow this evening. That is on top of the 18 inches we got last week. I was looking forward to going to Mexico for surgery to warm up. I don't want to be colder than I am now! Perhaps I will invest in some flannel lined jeans (a smaller size of course)! -

Sadie - I hope that you are feeling better today! I remember the day when I had a load of little ones (I have 5 also - but now they are 19-25 years old!!) and they passed around the stomach flu......ish! I too have dreaded the thought of getting sick after VSG.....Oh Lord! Can't even begin to go there! I hope your household is recovering well and things all clear up for the holidays - which are upon us! Have a wonderful Christmas - I bet it's crazy at your house at Christmas. Seasons Greetings! I snuck up on my scale this morning and jumped it from behind...know what it said..225 thats 13lbs gone for good and I don't start my pre-surgery diet until Jan 1st! Whoot!

So I leave 3 weeks from tomorrow. I am down 12.5 pounds since I started my own version of a pre-op diet. Getting excited, have lots of Christmas parties this week and next (work and client related)... will try hard to stay focused. Would like to be down at least 15 by surgery date - Lol it just hit me that those 12.5 lbs are history, I will never so those again!
