My PRovider related the shoulder pain & nausea due to irritation to Vagus nerve caused by all the manipulation during the surg. I was told for the 1st 2 weeks to drink only 2-4 ounces of fluid at a time, one- 2 hours apart. not a tall latte right out of surgery! AAAK! I sip 2 Eas Myoplex chocolate shakes thruout the day plus sugar free gatorade, etc. I am down 10 since 9/27, a bit slower, but much more comfortable.
