When I was 20 I found out my father had throat cancer, he passed away and that is when I found my true passion for how good food made me feel.  When I was sad or upset, I turned to food, I went from 180 lbs to 319 lbs within 8 years, each year and I just kept getting bigger and bigger.  I got married September 26, 2008, and for a year and a half we had been trying to have a baby.  I have had nothing but problems with my "female" parts and went into the dr.  I found out that I have polycystic ovary syndrome, I had not been getting a monthly flow, and not been ovulating. We tried months and months of treatments and nothing worked for us.  With being so big I had to stop doing some of the things that I loved because it was "too hard" or because I just flat out couldn’t fit (how embarrassing)!  I started to avoid social gatherings, going out to eat, and NEVER had my photo taken!  I realized that I have a great life, a wonderful husband and a very supportive family, so I went to a seminar, joined Weight Watchers, lost 20 pounds and felt amazing!  I sat down with my husband and said that I am finally ready to get the surgery and he was very supportive!It only took one week for me to be cleared for surgery and August 26th 2010 I was "banded"!!!!!!!!  I am very excited for what is coming forward for me and my family!!
