    I'm feeling really good. Slight tenderness when I lie on my left side. I think that's where the port it. I think I've lost 5 lbs. I go to the Dr in the morning for the one week check up. We'll see then about the weight. I'm only doing liquid diet and yogurt, so I'm not trying to lose right now, it's about the healing. . . but losing anyway.

We are and have been WAY to hard on ourselves our whole lives and even giving ourselves this wonderful gift of owning our future we diminish it by saying 'only'!!!     Good evening... Happy belated Thanksgiving....(we had ours today) I will be starting my 2 week liquid diet on Tuesday, November 30th.... I plan on using unjury. As far as I've read on these boards, people seem to like it pretty well. I've not tried it myself though. As for after I have the surgery......December 15th...... will I still be on the Unjury? or will it be a clear liquid only? (planning/shopping purposes here) I am also wondering if there are any others getting their surgery on the 15th? Cindy

    I had my surgery on the 15th...I felt great that day and yesterday... feeling pretty yukky today. I think the incisions are starting to heal and it's the tugging and pulling that are hurting.. I'm still puffy, and have this weird ...do I want to burp, throw up or am I hungry feeling going on! I don't want to choose the wrong one if you know what I mean!! Cindy

    My experience was awesome! I got to the Surgical Center at 12:30 yesterday and was home by 5:30! The only uncomfortableness that I am having is when I get up or down from a chair or in and out of bed. I am very thirsty that's for sure. I guess for the long day yesterday of no fluids till after the surgery. I am pretty nervous about eating right now. Of course it's just liquids today (and the net two weeks) but that includes cream Soups and yogurt. For some reason my pre-op diet was a little more generous and I could have cream of wheat, which I have come to love!!!! go figure! How is everyone else doing? How are you feeling? What are you able to eat? Cindy

    Hey... things are going pretty well...stomach flu is behind me and I am about over the slight cold that I wound up with. !! I'd say I'm not really nervous, maybe a little anxious and that's more about the life after. I'm going to miss some of the food I love. (aka Pizza!) there is such a social association to food. oh well, I want to lose the weight more!!! What time do you go on Wed?- Cindy

    Oh boy.... I go tomorrow for my pre-op testing... I wasn't nervous, till I read this! I had a stomach flu durring the two week liquid diet and when I got finished with that, I caught a cold... do you know if that will automatically be a NO during the pre-op testing?

    The diet part has gone great! I have not been hungry at all.. then around day 6 I got a 24 hr stomach bug...bummer. Got over than and picked up a cold.

    I'm looking for ANY suggestions on how to quickly get rid of this! I do NOT want them to have to cancel surgery!!! I'm down 11 and that feels great! Are you on the 15th too? I have be...

    I wonder if you tried to semi-freeze it, then blend it with ice to make it a milkshake? The other thing that may help is the vanilla, to me it seems easier to blend it with other flavors. Good luck, throwing up sucks!! Cindy

    This is day 3 of the liquid (well somewhat liquid) diet. Honestly it hasn't been bad. I am impressed with how NOT hungry I am. Impressed is probably not the right word... shocked, that would be a better one. Yesterday I didn't even get in all the food that I should have. Go figure?!! I'm pretty sure that I will be plenty bored with what I'm eating in the next few days, but for now, it's OK. I will tell you that the best thing that I've eaten, even not on this diet is.. vanilla unjury, made with skim milk and then put a packet of strawberry crystal light in it...it is about the best strawberry milk shake going!!!! Fantastic. There have been some very interesting comments on this board. It breaks me heart for everyone when you read that the things we all seem to be looking forward to the most are... being normal, shopping for things that we like, instead of what doesn't make us look fat, isn't it amazing the common bond we seem to have although we are all over the country?! Good Luck to everyone!! On the other side of this, we will be in the department stores that have whole floors dedicated to 'normal' sizes as opposed to the 20' x 20' size section, next to maternity for the plus sizes. That'll be great!!! Cindy

    Hows the pre-op diet going? Not so bad here so far as being hungry... but it's alot of liquid squishing around in my stomach. A pretty yukky feeling!

    The babies are my granddaughters! My son and his wife had identical twin girls on Sunday Oct 31... then 3 days later on November 3rd, my daughter had a little boy! 3 babies 3 days... crazy fun time!! (expensive too!)

    what's been the hard part for day 3 for you?

    Day 1 has been decent. I'm not hungry, so that's good....it's just the food has been very weird. the "extras" I can eat are tomato juice, sf jello, sf pudding, sf applesauce, oatmeal, yogurt. 4 shakes and 6 of those. so not bad, just weird to have all that liquid in my stomach!!

    It's funny how each dr has their own preferences!! You will do great... I wish mine was only 6 days. This is going to be a long two weeks. Our numbers are pretty much identical! (weight and goal numbers) Cindy

    Sabrina, How is your liquid diet going? I hope well. It's nice to have some clothes that are there for you to aspire to. Inspiration pieces! Your surgery is a couple of days ahead of mine! Is the liquid diet hard? I believe I am able to also have sugar free jello, veggies and some stuff like that. When they called and set my surgery date I was so excited, that I didn't get the details.     Hi.... How is your pre-op diet going? I am starting in the morning as it was so late in the day when I picked it up.
