    Port pain after fill?

Aside from the initial post-op tenderness that prevented me from sleeping on the port side, I experienced port pain, especially when bending over, about a month after the surgery. My doctor was not concerned. The discomfort has since dissipated. I remain a little FREAKED OUT that a foreign object is stitched to my stomach! I try not to think about it.
  4. I loved what you said, especially at the end! LOL!

    Breakfast Problems

You definitely have more tissue inflamation when you first wake up...an external/visible example of this is a puffy face. I've learned that it is quite common to be tighter in the morning and to have more difficulty eating solid foods. Some people have a Protein shake for breakfast. I have found that I can eat solid foods only if I am busy doing something else and stop to take a bite every couple of minutes. I've also found that I'm more sensitive to certain foods early in the day and cannot tolerate fried foods or very acidic foods like tomato sauce. If I have either of these for lunch, I am almost guaranteed to experience pain and nausea. However, by late afternoon and evening, I can stomach almost anything. Weird.
  6. Me too! Since my first fill, I can only tolerate liquids the first few hours that I'm awake. My doctor told me that this is quite common.
  7. I had my surgery 2 1/2 months ago and can tell you that my ATTITUDE towards certain foods that I used to LOVE has changed due to not being able to tolerate them anymore physically. No one told me that I would be saying goodbye to BREAD, but I have. It makes me sick to eat it now. I've since learned that most people cannot eat bread after the surgery. When I see a panini/sandwich or pizza, instead of thinking, "YUM!", I think, "That would make me so sick!" I have honestly lost my desire to eat some of the bad stuff, so willpower is not even an issue anymore.
