I have been banded for almost a year. Not drinking and eating at the same time wasn't that difficult a thing to get used to. It only bothers me if I eat a late meal like past 8pm then I first have to wait until after 9 to drink that sucks especially if I'm going to bed soon. The other thing is that every stuck moment I've ever had was because of drinking and eating together.

I've been banded for 7 months. I have had soda in that time and every time I do I always feel horrible afterwards I'm going to stop it just not worth it.

I've been banded for 7 months I've lost 57lbs from 330 to 273. I was wearing xxxl now xxl went from 52 to 46 already I'm 6 feet. So far its been a great decision.

I agree you need to find new friends. if they cant be supportive you dont need them. Let them have heart disease and health probems as you get healthier for you. Besides who says you cant eat those things you still can just in smaler quantities. I ve gone out with the guys and have ordered cheeseburger sliders take off the buns eat the meat. ive had wings like 6 or 8 not the 20 i used to eat.

I've stopped eating it. It's not because I can't; its a trigger food for me. I just don't want 1 slice I want to go back to the old ways and have 3 slices plus garlic knots. So I've chosen not to eat it. I am really jonesing for a slice.

Guys, how many calories do you eat in a day and how does it differ or does it differ from what the surgeons office says. I just had my 3rd fill and they said I justntrynto go down from 1200 calories a day to 1000. I think there crazy. What do you guys think? The chicks that troll here can post as well.

4oz of Protein by weigh and 2oz of carb and 2oz of veggies all by weight

I agree. That's what I told them band or no band. Even with a band I can't see how a 1000 calories is enough.

When you are back to knife and fork food the whole meal should be 1 cup of food or 8oz. Such as a 3 or 4 oz piece of protein 2-3 oz of a vegetable and 2-3 oz of a carb. Eating the protein 1st then veg then carb if there is room. Meal time should be 20 minutes and stop eating. All the while taking small bites and chew well. You will be successful.

I've never understood this theory for the average person. If you are a hardcore gym rat and exercise a bunch and are in great shape sure you need to refuel your body. But for us overweight people why am I going to eat the calories I burned. I want to burn more and eat less.
