EXERCISE CHALLENGE ROUND 2!
Fatty McFatster replied to Rebeccaabrooks86's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Awesome!!! I got on the scale this morning and it said 206.2! Finally broke my 208-209 stall!!! Hey guys I'm feeling down because I've done 3 hours of exercise so far but my eating hasn't been the best and I got on the scale this morning and I went from 206.2 to 207.6 in need of support. I really need my eating to get back on track. Good news is I'm planning to hit up the gym today. I know how frustrating that can be, especially when you are putting in the exercise. It has happened to me a few times as well. Your gain could be due to food choices, but it can also be from Water retention, muscle growth, lack of bowel movements, etc. Just remember this is a lifelong journey and some weeks will be better and some weeks worse. Stay the course and you'll keep doing great!! I believe in you! -
Are your co-workers as awesome as mine are?

Awww thanks. [emoji4] However, you are very determined and I think you could do it without me…though I doubt it would be as fun for either of us. -
Fitting in a plane seat
Fatty McFatster replied to futurecrna08's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
We flew Southwest when we went to Mexico and needed seat belt extenders, but you have to ask for them. Also, with Southwest you can get an extra seat for free (if you feel you need it) when you check in at the airport, BUT we found it better to purchase an extra seat in advance (just to make sure the plane wasn't booked), and then when you get back home they will refund you for that extra seat. It is part of their "Customer of Size" policy...which is great! Not sure if other airlines do that or not. We always fly Southwest because we have a friend that is a flight attendant. Here is a link to that info: https://www.southwest.com/html/generated/help/faqs/extra_seat_policy_faq.html -
This speaks well of you, proof that you are a gentleman of fine breeding. Fine, I'll brag for you. Thank you. Haha.

I finally hit Twonderland. Now at 299.6. I hope and pray I never see the 300's again. Thanks for all you do Sarah!!! -
I know you are right. But I am actually a shy and sensitive guy and I don't want anyone to think I am bragging or being arrogant. I just want to share with my friends on here, but preface it to make sure everyone knows that I by no means think I am done working hard to lose more weight.

You know you lost weight when

When your "skinnier" jeans keep falling off without a belt and you keep showing your butt crack to everyone. lol. -
So hard to stay positive when there is always someone to beat you down.

Haha. You are so right. I am a member of another online forum and they call them "keyboard warriors" because it's not something people would ever dare say to your face. They only have the "strength" to say it across a keyboard and computer screen. -
EXERCISE CHALLENGE ROUND 2!
Fatty McFatster replied to Rebeccaabrooks86's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I got in 10 hours and 14 minutes of exercise this week. A lot of that came from shoveling snow off the driveway 4 times as well as snowshoeing, walking on treadmill, etc. I also made it down to Twonderland this week. Yay!!! -

Here is my 2 Month Post-Op Progress Report. Things have gradually changed over the last 2 months (since I had surgery on November 20th) and wanted to share my continued progress with those that might be interested. I know that I still have a VERY LONG way to go, but I am seeing progress which helps keep me motivated. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have offered caring support and advice along the way as well as the BariatricPal weight loss and exercise challenges. I can't do it alone...so THANK YOU!!! And a special THANKS to my wife (as we are taking this journey together each step of the way). TOTAL Weight Lost (Pre-Op and Post-Op): 54.0 pounds Pre-Op Weight Lost: 18.2 pounds 1 Month Post-Op Weight Lost: 18.0 pounds 2 Month Post-Op Weight Lost: 17.8 pounds Inches Lost: 40.0 inches (Down 12.5" since 1 Month Post-Op) BMI: 49.6 down to 42.1 (Down 7.5 since Pre-Op) Pant Size: 58 down to 48 waist (Down a pant size since 1 Month Post-Op) Shirt Size: 4XL down to 2XL (Down a shirt size since 1 Month Post-Op) Short/Boxer Size: 4XL down to 2XL (same since 1 Month Post-Op) Distance able to walk: Was at 50 yards and now up to 10.0 miles (Up 7 miles since 1 Month Post-Op) Time able to walk: Was at 2 minutes (to mailbox and back) and now up to 120 minutes (Up 60 minutes since 1 Month Post-Op) Hiking: Just went for my 1st hike (4.5 miles) this past Sunday. Another couple of wins today are: (1) Snowshoed for the first time and really enjoyed it. (2) Also, snow shoveled the driveway twice today, which gave me a total of 2 hours 10 minutes of exercise between shoveling and snowshoeing.

Looks like you are getting all the snow we were supposed to. Mixed feelings on that .... on one hand I would like to try snowshoeing, but on the other hand I am not a fan of the cold! Hope it doesn't bury you too much.Looks like we are going to get less than originally forecast. Went snowshoeing and had a lot of fun.…and just finished shoveling the driveway again. I'm so tired. -

Fatty McFatster replied to Fatty McFatster's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm going to shovel the driveway after every 3 inches (or so) of snow that falls. That's easier than doing 12+ inches all at one time. Especially since we have a huge driveway out in the country. With that said, I just finished shoveling the first 3 inches off the driveway. Have to shovel several more times today/tomorrow. -
