Looking for Sleeve Buddy for Dec 7th.

I don't think I've had 1 day where I've gotten in enough liquids. It's really hard. But I have had several days where I've gotten plenty of Protein. I walk almost every day, but still pretty low energy 3-weeks post op. And if it's ok, I'd like to be an honorary member of this sleeve buddy club since I don't have one.

    My painful experience in Mexico

Still haven't passed the stone(s), but starting to get the "sand". Hopefully I pass it before I run out of nausea and pain meds.

Thank you both so much for your concern. I really appreciate it. I still haven't passed the stone, but thankfully I have good meds to help control the pain.

    My painful experience in Mexico

Yeah, I have to give major props to Scripps Mercy Hospital ER in San Diego. They did a WONDERFUL job taking care of me. I can't thank them enough. They alleviated my pain and nausea within minutes.

Made it to Mexico! Surgery Tomorrow

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't get checked on once I was home either. I feel a bit forgotten like you. I'm glad you're doing well though. Glad everything went well with you. You are doing great!!! Are you feeling better? I haven't had kidney stones but I hear they're quite awful. I'm sorry they haven't checked on you either. Definitely room for improvement there on their end. As far as my kidney stone and experience in Mexico, I didn't want to derail this thread with my issues so I started my own thread here: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/357091-my-painful-experience-in-mexico/

I don't blame you for feeling that way at all.

Looking for Sleeve Buddy for Dec 7th.

Thanks for taking care of me. Can't believe I got food poisoning and then kidney stones while in Mexico for your surgery. And had to be rushed back across the border to ER in San Diego because hospital in Mexico was unable to control the kidney stone pain and nausea. Thankfully you had a great surgery and are doing awesome despite all of my attempts to derail your journey. Lol.

    Mexico surgery

No problem at all. We paid $4,000 which includes 2 nights in the hospital and then 2 nights in the BariatricPal recovery house. We flew here yesterday and they let us stay in the recovery house for free. It really has been a great experience. They are even taking great care of me. Little Robert has gone out to get me an omelet and Gatorade for Breakfast and a salad and bottled Water for dinner.

    Mexico surgery

You can contact Dr. A, Ana, David, or Henry on here. They are all associated with BariatricPal. She had been planning to have the surgery since the summer, but found out insurance wouldn't cover it. From that point things moved pretty quickly as it has been about 6 weeks since first contact with Dr. A and the BariatricPal MX team.

    Mexico surgery

My wife and I are in Tijuana as we speak. She just had her sleeve surgery with Dr. Altamirano TODAY and she is doing great!!! I can't speak highly enough of Dr. A and the entire staff (Little Robert, Rosa, Eduardo, Morgan, etc.). I know I am forgetting others, but this place is superb. Everyone has been great. Very friendly, but also very professional. We are in a new hospital room with all of the necessary medical amenities along with an extra bed for family, bathroom/ shower, phone, tv, reclining chair, etc. You can also make calls back to US for free if you need to contact family and friends. No regrets so far and I don't anticipate any either.
  13. I had my band to sleeve revision surgery on Friday, November 20th and have been nauseous ever since then. Water tastes like sewage and the Protein shakes taste fine, but every sip still causes me to feel sick. I take the anti-nausea pills, but they aren't helping much. Is it normal to feel constant nausea 5 days after surgery? If so, when does it normally subside?

Nauseous 24 hours a day. Is this normal?

Thankfully my constant nausea went away about 1 week after surgery.
  15. Thankfully most of my knee and joint pain went away about 3 days after I posted this topic. So I do believe it was a side effect of one of my medicines.

I am the same as you! First week was a breeze but this week is sucking! Add it this is my busiest week at work and it makes for an extra tired and extra hungry me! And I'm sure grumpy as well, right? That's how I was. lol.

    I am PISSED!

I'm 2 weeks out today and have had some of the same feelings, but so many great people on here have helped me realize that this is normal and I am not alone. Just stick to the plan and you will begin losing in no time, which in turn will help you feel mentally better as well.
