    I'm here to help...

Hey IndioGirl55 Wow what a great weight loss in a relatively short time. I am 5'6" and a whopping 300 pounds. I have had my band for five days and since my presurgery preparation have lost around 12 pounds - not much but best I have done in some years. I just gave up, around and around I went on the weight loss/weight gain merry-go-round and each time I lost I put much more on. I am so happy I have taken the plunge. I hope I will look half as good as you. Unfortunately, given the amount of weight I am looking at a cut and shut after I lose the weight. That's for another day. Bye from sunny Australia:cool2:
  5. Hi Everyone I am thrilled to see a site where I can learn from others, receive inspiration and may even be able to help someone else eventually. Day 5, I still burp and wind like a sailor and cannot poop. My husband commenced on the Protein shakes with me about three weeks before surgery and he has lost 5kg and is continuing his journey. He is very lucky and seems not to mind the restrictions. Can anyone share with me any nutritious recipes for the first two weeks on fluids that we can both eat and enjoy. I am absolutely determined not to undermine the LapBand and want to only eat food that will sustain not kill me. Thanks for listening and I hope to read some interesting replies.

    3 days post op

Hi All I received my lapband on Friday last - 14 October in Ballarat, Victoria in Australia and have joined you on your journey. You sound like you are doing really well. Still sore and burping like a sailor, can't open the old bowel though! Feel tired now and will have a snooze I think. Any good recipes for the first couple of weeks out there from any blogger friends?
