I have always been overweight. I lost weight, sometimes a lot of it, but gained it back. I know 3 people who have had the surgery and are successfully losing and keeping weight off. Though it's scary to take a surgical approach, I feel it is the only method that has a chance of keeping the weight off. I am worried about living without the comfort I've gotten from food. But continuing in this eating habit is dangerous to my health. I am trying not to let the food habit talk, and to listen to the healthy voice in me that is saying, you need this tool. So I applied to my insurance and it was approved. The date was set today, and I am still a bit in shock. My patner supports this completely. The next step for me is telling my friends.
