  5. Don't Keep your Eye OFF that PRIZE! Anything you want in life thats worth anything is not going to be easy! I see that you have made changes to this journey you started a long time ago! I could have waited to get my date,,, but I know the anticipation you are feeling,,, just know now is the time to deny that love obsession for the foods you can't live with out! REALLY,,,, I know you want this band and I encourage you to continue ur efforts,,, but we all have bad habits that has brought you to the idea that you need help loosing this extra weight. You have time to understand the types of foods u should be eating and the amounts whichARE VERY small. I eat less than 500 calories per day and I take in about 75 grams of protein; I work out 3 to 5 x per week,, but i move alot more easily than I did before! I would like to quote another Bandster (don't remember her name) she said," I wish I would have had the surgery a long time ago, it is very painful to heal, But I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!" You must take this BANDING TOOL and use it as all successful Bandits have, make better food choices, eat to satiety( satisified NOT STUFFED), learn to eat for 30 min taking one small bite at a time and find a whey Protein (in take 60- 80 grms per day no more!) that you can tolerate, then go to this web site and look for sugar free syrups to add to ur shakes, and ideas for new recipes!     Sweet

    WOW, I guess I am the only Female in the world that doesn't have the craving for chocolate! I like white chocolate but I eat it maybe 2 times per year? Maybe? I tend to want oatmeal Cookies, but it is funny,, i just want a couple bites! lol I know that I am a satiety eater, so i don't have very few cravings unless I am starving! This began post BANDING, I crave hot creamy foods,,, like gooey cheese. I do discover I am un able to eat as fast as my stomach wants but only to find that I eat less when I starve. So, am I wondering do you know of any other Female Bandsters that don't eat chocolate?
  7. Been to see a couple Nutritionist about 3 times, they say 60 - 80 grams per day,,,, and no MORE!!! You will potentially gain weight! So try to stay in range! Remember that whey Protien is an excellent source for protien, how ever dont forget what types of food supplies protien! Here is a list I just guestimate my intake FOOD GRAMS Steak 7.5gm per ounce (leaner meats = less fat = more protein) Turkey Burger 7 gm per ounce cheese 6-7 gm per ounce (cheddar, mozarella) Egg - yolk 3 gm Egg - white 3.5 gm Shrimp 5.5 gm per ounce (or 11-12 large shrimp) Fish 5.5 gm per ounce (Salmon 6 gm/ounce, Halibut 5.5gm/ounce,Cod 5gm/ounce) Hamburger 7 gm per ounce Nuts 6 gm per ounce Jerky 10 gm per ounce ( Peanut Butter 2 tbs= 8 gms) ( Edamame 1 cup = 12 grams)

    Traveling after Fill

    This is just too funny for me,,,,, I fly to Anchorage to Fairbanks, AK ((((an hour flight and return in the pm)))) just to get my fill, and visit doctor. Doctor didnt state anything in reference of no traveling because of fill, accept that after fill i should stay in town for a few hours to make sure that the fill was not too restrictive and i might need to be loosened. after surgery I had to stay for 7 days to heal but approved to stay for 10. I used to be sick after my flights before being banded, but now I have no problem

    Hair Loss

    I have had hair loss, and thining of the hair,, but I am also a Hairdresser of 17 yrs! I learned that ANY AMOUNT of stress, weight loss, diet change, and medication can cause hair loss. I am like you asking questions and hearing all the scary stories. So, I made an appointment with a nutritionist to get the correct information on what to eat and how much of it, which of course I encourage you to do the same. She told me with the fact that our bodies experience the rapid wieght loss, we will have hair loss,, some more than others. The main issue is to have between 60-80 grams of Protein per day no more or u will not loose weight and might gain. I take in the am a prenatal Vitamin which supplements all other nutrients I don't get, along with a hair, skin and nail supplement from GNC. I try to sip on Water at least 1 qrt of water during the day along with a whey protein called BODY FORTRESS I bought at Wally World that is (cheap)low in Sugar and using 2 scoops that equal 52 grms of protein( substitute the water for frozen oj or fat free milk), it is delicious( try to add 1/4 cup sugar free vanilla Syrup). Making sure you get ur protien and exercise will make you feel better and begin to replace the nutrients lost! Good Luck on ur New Journey to a Healthy Lifestyle!
