Hi, I had got banded one week ago today and have not had a bowel movement at all. I realize that there is no substance going in, and I am taking Fiber. Any suggestions? Sorry for such a sensitive subject......but I am sure you all have been there, done that. Thanks for any help. :help:

Grumpy, Your answer did in fact help me. I am going to go on in tomorrow and if I think it is too much, I will come home and work from here. I go see the doctor on Wednesday so then I can get more guidance. I just think that I need to be extrememly careful so I won't pull anything loose. ginatae55, please don't be so worried. I assure you that this surgery is not nearly as bad as you are dreading. as far as the pre-op, I wasn't as diligent as I should have been either and everything worked out just fine. stop beating yourself up and just take one day at a time. I can already tell that it will definitely all be worth it in the end. remember why we are doing this in the first place.......God has shown us a tool to help us be the people that we deserve to be. Hi Grumpy, I too had the hiatal hernia repaired and that is the only thing that I have suffered any pain at all with. I was just wondering if your doctor told you what if anything should be done especially for the hernia? I am scared to death I am going to hurt something in there. How long will you be out of work? I had my surgery on Dec. 21st and am planning on going back on Tuesday, the 2nd, but am not sure if that is enough time for the hernia repair. The doctor didn't seem to seperate my instructions from the lap band and the hernia. Know what I mean? Thanks for any response.
