  1. Oh I just saw "jello" in your list. We have jelly so I might see if we have the sf version of that
  2. Mushy i'm fine with, that parts easy It's the liquids I don't know what to do. And it doesn't help that I'm from Australia and we don't have most of those things you mentioned lol. We have soups obviously, but it's too hot for soups We have Powerade, but i don't think we have the sugar-free one. I need something more like food rather than just drinks cause I'm feeling really sick now. I will probably just send my boyfriend down to get ingredients to make fruit smoothies and just live off that for 24hrs. As it's the only thing I can think of.

    Any Ideas

I put everything in the blender - even bacon and eggs for Breakfast. It sounds horrible but it actually tastes completely normal, there was no difference. And I ate it with a baby-spoon and bowl to make sure I was super slow and ready for it. Literally anything that my family was having to eat - I would put in the blender and eat it as well But of course - be careful and EAT SLOW and tiny bites (use a babyspoon if you need help) Make it into mush in your mouth even though it's already blended
  4. Is it possible to delete posts? This post is no longer needed but I don't know how to delete it.
  5. Sorry but that's sounds ridiculous! The band is there for a reason, if you take out the Fluid then you won't have restriction and will go straight back to square one. I'd be telling my doctor there is no way in hell he is touching it. But, I'm not a doctor. So that's just my opinion. I've never heard of anyone doing that though unless they were pregnant or wanted to. Maybe he's worried if you keep it tight you will get used to it and maybe won't be able to put any more fluid in it? That's all I can think of.
  6. Okay so today I had my first fill in almost 2 years. Currently sitting on 5.5mls out of 7, and now "average" (Usually 5-7ish for my band) Last time i had this much in my band I had a bit of trouble, but going to try really hard this time to eat slower. I have lost 4 kilos (approx 9lbs) so far without Fluid and now that I have some fluid hoping it will keep going. Haven't changed much yet, still eating my normal meals, just less. And only exercising every 2-3 days now. However if my weight loss slows down, I exercise more again. On fluids for 24hrs - Can't remember what the hell to have for fluids, but think it might be shakes so went and bought them. But not sure if I can last on just them for 24hrs though because it's currently over 40.C here (over 104 Fahrenheit) so not feeling well. Yay for lliving in Australia lol. If anyone has other ideas for fluids please let me know, because I can't remember lol.

    1St Day Exercising!

Congratulations!! Keep up that attitude and you'll be great. Always good to try lose weight before surgery.
  11. First week is over as of today and 2 kilos down (4.5llbs?) So Still going strong. Fitness Pal is a lifesaver. Weirdly, I look forward to putting in all my information very day haha. And i finally have a little support group on there and read all of there diaries to make sure im on the same track. I have also taken all the photos and measurements and used the app BodyShot to keep a record. I will be finding a new doctor to get my tablets back, or at least something to help me sleep. Doing exercise at 3am without sleep is hard lol. But I've managed to work out 4 times out of my goal of 5 times a week. Happy Happy Happy!

    Has Anyone Experienced This?

A better way to explain it is I'm sure most of you were called fat sometime in your life as an insult and it would have upset you. The world is now learning that they should accept people no matter what they look like, so they support fat people and tell them to be themselves and finally accept them Basically, if you want to loose weight, that's fine, but if you don't, that's fine too

    Has Anyone Experienced This?

People do this these days because the world has finally been taught it is important to love yourself and everyone no matter what you look like. And after decades of fat people being told they have to be skinny to be accepted, they now realise that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and learning to accept all sizes. So I think your co-worker meant it in a different way than what you took it. You are fine no matter what size you are, if you love yourself.
  14. I think its a huge concern if you have't already planned out what you should be eating through each stage an what your doctor has told you to do. Weeks before I went in for surgery I tested out so many different foods for each stage and how to eat it and made sure I enjoyed it and then checked with my doctor to make sure it was allowed. I also made sure I had all the stages completely understood and wrote them on the fridge. You should never go into surgery and make such a big life decision if you aren't sure of a plan, or what you are suppose to do afterwards. It also worries me that your doctor hasn't supplied you with enough information.

    Almost Here

There is no point loosing all that weight and still not being happy with your body. Ignore what your family says and go get it done It's very common for both after loosing so much weight. I personally would get the breast lift, because I have desperately wanted non-fat boobs and I am looking forward to this the most at the end of my journey lol. But I would say for everyone else to get the tummy tuck What's the point in being skinny if you can't show off your new flat tummy?
  16. Hey hun, just thought I'd let you know I have had my lapband for 2 years and I'm still sitting on the exact same weight as pre-op, at least youve lost weight . Hoping to get my butt into gear now though. But some of us still find it hard, I still crave bad foods all the time. Maybe just take a rest for a week or a month or even a year. Then start fresh when you want to try again Pushing yourself and hating yourself will only make everything so much worse, so take a breath and concentrate on something other than weight loss for awhile. xoxoxoox

  19. I LOVE my fitness pal. It's my bible especially at the moment while I'm getting back on track
  20. Hey everyone just an update. 3 days in and I have lost my first kilo (2.2lbs) I am eating about 1000 calories a day without any restriction (as my lapband does not have Fluid in it) and burning 950 calories a day from exercise. So pretty happy with all that. It feels a lot easier this time around, not sure why. Partner has lost 3kilos and he has been dieting for a week (bit longer than me). He doesn't have the lapband and I'm trying to tell him how amazing that is to lose so much in one week without changing much (yet) but he isn't as excited as me about it haha. Still no money for an appointment to get a fill though. Will see how I go without fluid and hopefully I can last a month without it
  21. I was also told to never count calories as its not accurate, but I use it as a guideline and to just make sure I'm constantly remembering to make better choices and not eat whenever I want. So it helps me A LOT. And of corse I use fitness pal to do this LOVE fitness pal
  22. I have had my lapband for 2 years but only just got back on track a week ago. I allow myself 2000 calories a day, but I never eat that much. On a bad day I will eat about 1500. And good days I eat around 1000. But I would like to mention I currently have no restriction in my band so I'm eating as I normally would before I got my lapband. I also exercise every day (or two) for half an hour and that burns about 300-400 calories. I am in the process of getting stricter with myself this week and will cut down those calories a bit more to try and average under 1000 a day As for spreading them out in the day - I don't do that. I have 3 meals a day and because I get SO hungry at night time, I usually make sure i have a big dinner. And In the morning I don't like eating much so I usually have 3 eggs and a glass of skim milk or something like that. Edit made*** Turns out my treadmill was lying to me! I am only burning half of the calories I thought - so I'm burning 300-400 a day
  23. Not sure what it is but always open to more support and tips. Lannahlouise@hotmail.com
  24. Hi everyone Long story short, I got my band almost 2 years ago & many struggles later (mostly with my mental health getting in the way) I'm finally trying to get back on track. I lost 20kgs in the first few months of my band, but over 2 years later I'm sitting on the same amount of weight as pre-op. (which I suppose on the positive side it's better than being bigger than pre-op lol) My partner (non-bander) is going to do the exact same things as me, but I'm also kinda looking for a band-buddy. I am 127kg, just turned 21 and will be using fitness pal. Oh I am also a really fussy eater, (although sooo much better than what I was pre-op, thanks to counselling) so it would be fantastic to find someone else who is a fussy eater AND a lap-bander lol. I'm fine to just have support/band buddies online and via fitness pal. But if anyone is from the sunnie coast (queensland) then let me know
