Hi,I have had 3 friends that had lap band surgery with much success. I have thought about this for a while now and have decided to start the process. I had my initial consultation today and meet with the surgeon on Oct. 4 2010. My initial consultation today with the medical director was promising. He said my insurance if very easy to get approval through and I meet all the guidelines set for the lap band surgery. I guess I meet with my surgeon on oct. 4th and then he submits my paperwork to the insurance company for approval and he said I should know the decision within 2 weeks. He said I can look to probably have my surgery by the end of the year, so I am very excited. My BMI is 44 so I have quite a road to tow, but I know I can do it.I wish everyone well!!Sassy, mom of 4
