About Me

  • Gender
    Female
I began this journey on April 28, 2010. I went to see Dr. Warnock and my beginning weight was 296 , I was really shocked and horrified . I was only 4 lbs away from 300 lbs. I knew I had to do something , something that works. I have tried many other diets , prescription over the counter , just eating meat ect... and I would always lose 20 to 30 lbs and get frustrated and stop . I do still get frustrated at times , but have read enough and researched enough and have the support of the lapband and the Dr. and staff and my family, so I have learned to overcome many obstacles that I face . Today I am 237 , my goal is 150 so I still have lots of work to do but I am on the right track and feel better now then I have in years.

9-20-2011  Today I weigh 218 and I am still trying to do my best. I did go thru about six months of down time. I had gall bladder removed in April and just went thru some financial and personal issues that slowed my weight lose down some, but I did not gain a single pound during that 6 months so I am very proud that I have at least learned to maintain, but I am still not to my goal of 150 yet so i am getting back to it . I have lost 3 more lbs in 6 days , just getting back  to working out and eating healthy. It is easier to eat small portions with the lapband, but small portions of what is the important thing . A small portion of a donut, or small cup of fruit those are the choices you have in everyday life and you have to be willing to give up some sinful foods to get where you want to be.
