Hello, I too had surgery in September. I've noticed that it's getting harder and harder to lose weight, I guess I just need to step it up and restrict myself a bit more. Anyway, I wish you both the best in your journeys!!! : )

Please don't take this the wrong way, but is a game really that important? I rather get my surgery done.... I just can't imagine re-scheduling such a big and important appointment for a baseball game...

I've noticed a lot of people are having a hard time finding the perfect protein shake. I strongly recommend trying out Super Advanced Whey Protein by Body Fortress. Have any of you tried it? My husband and I love to dine and for that reason i had to change my ways, what i do is ask the server to bring me a small plate (the ones that they usually give you for apetizers). I serve myself and eat off that plate and the rest i take home ...

Hi, if i may ask, when were you banded? i too have 6cc's in my 14cc band! Actually I had 7 but i started getting port pain so i had to go back and get an unfill (-1cc). Anyway, how are you feeling? my first fill was awesome, but the 2nd one sucked butt ...infact i'm still experiencing port pain after i eat, so i might have to go back in tomorrow *cries* i hope everything turns out ok.

Hello, I'm sorry to bother you guys... I posted yesterday about my port pain but sadly no one had any advice or words of wisdom for me (0 replies, so sad) ...anyway, i went ahead and looked it up and bumped into this: http://www.ehow.com/facts_5989888_pain-over-lap_band-port.html I'm really scared that may be the case with me. Erosion!? Infection!? omg! why is this happening to me?, i have tried my very best to follow the rules, i really hope that all i need is a slight unfil and not band removal. Has any of you experienced port pain after eating? weird huh? shouldn't it be your band that hurts? .... anyway, i am scheduled at 3:15pm today for an "unfill"...i really hope that is all i need and that they don't find somethin wrong with my band.... please wish me luck. hello, im back! I requested to see the PA that had done my first fill everything went good. He told me that my port is working perfectly fine and that it looks good too (the port area/skin). I had 1 cc taken out and omg! i feel so much better! thank you so much for your wonderful support hugs to all! thank u thank u thank u thank u! ps. i hope this was what i needed...crossing my fingers the pain doesn't come back >_< if it does (knock on wood) i will have to go back

Hello, I have noticed that ever since my last fill (2nd fill/7cc in 14cc band) i haven't felt the same...i mean yeah i have more restriction....but I have also noticed that i start getting this pain on my side after i eat.... at first i thought it was because i might of been eating fast or taken too big of a bite....but i just had a small bite of food and im having the pain as we speak...it feels like it's almost right underneath the port.... do any of you know what might be happening to me? I am able to keep food and liquids down...it's just that pain that i get after i eat that is bothering me...someone please help me...should i go in for a slight unfill? my first fill experience was awesome but the second was horrible, my port (area) felt and looked super swollen. ....

Hi, I had my second fill last monday, I now have 7cc's in my 14 cc band. I too got stuck and it is the worst feeling ever! Thankfully the pain went away after an hour maybe 2... after approx. 3 days of getting stuck i realized that waiting as long as 10 minutes between bites helped alot. My life was miserable after my second fill, so bad that i wanted to go back in and get an unfill... These past 2 days have been great, i just hope things stay this way >_<. oh! before my second fill i was bale to eat bread and now i can't... have you noticed any changes (aside from restriction) after your second fill? I sometimes "slime" as well but have never had to throw up. I really hope you start feeling better soon! hugs Ps. I know 10 minutes between bites sounds to extreme, but that's what i was told to do.... how long do you wait?

Hello, First of all let me apologize for bothering you guys with such a dumb question, but you guys are the only people aside from my surgeon that can help me. I'm scheduled for my much needed 2nd fill on the 27th of this month (wow! next week!) ... anyway, lately I have been very very hungry, so hungry that I have caught myself not waiting long enough between bites (i know, bad gabbi!) .... Today I was eating some Mini Swiss Cheese & Turkey Squares, right after my last bite I started getting pain on the pit of my stomach, followed by a painful feeling of something moving "through"....???.... i could of sworn i even heard it (im not crazy! lol) .....im sorry it's just so hard to explain. It went away after 5 minutes...i have never experienced this and for that reason im super paranoid that something happened to my band *cries*.... could this of been my very 1st stuck episode? I have also been taking Miralax for the past 3 days..could it of been my intestines? once again sorry for the dumb question....but any tips, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, This May Be A Stupid Question, But I Have Been Wondering If Being Stuck Means That You Ate Too Much or Took Too Big Of A Bite/Didn't Chew Well? If It's Neither Of These Can You Please Help Me Out By Telling Me What "Being Stuck" Really Means. I Hear That It Can Be Very Painful, Thankfully I have Never Experienced Such Thing. I Have Although Experience Fullness To The POint Wr I Felt It On My "Chest" (like tightness), Is That The Feeling Of Being Stuck? It Went Away After A 1/2 Hour Or So.... Any Info. Hello, & congrats on getting the band, i too was in a lot of pain . I made sure to get lots of rest, when i wasn't sleeping i would make sure that i was walking around as much as i could. Also sipping water & eating ice chips to keep myself hydrated, the pain will go away, i promisse ....Take your pain meds, that really helped me alot!
